Ms. Pac-Man
This sketch is pretty random so I figured I'd explain myself... This summer my family took a trip to Florida to hang out with a friend. Our friend has a vintage Ms. Pac-Man cabinet in her house, and we played the CRAP out of it. I drew this while we were there. All of us were thoroughly infected with Pac-Man fever.
Part of my job as a dad is making sure my kids appreciate the history of video games. It's really easy to get caught up in the graphics of the latest game or the processing power of the newest console, but games should always, first and foremost, be FUN. A lot of the games I grew up with in the 1980s weren't pretty to look at based on today's standards, but they're still entertaining. (Except that E.T. game for Atari. That's still a trainwreck.) It's nice to see that a lot of game designers feel the same way, and I think the gaming market is a lot better off because of it. We have a lot of fun games out there, and not all of them are hyper-realistic or Pixar-quality--we also get games with retro graphics or with really experimental art styles. Good times.
Anyway, that's enough of my preaching. W Want to commission a sketch? Check my info here: Sketch Commissions Open!

Easily the best costume Winslow’s ever come up with.
Classic Ben & Winslow: Boo-Bomb
When I drew this one, my oldest (then 4, but now 8) thought that ghosts said “Boom!” instead of “Boo!”
Now my oldest is 9. Where does the time go?
Now he's 10!

Here's a little Halloween-themed sketch of my characters Dorothy and Pascale. Dorothy's an air elemental, and the constant breeze that surrounds her makes it very difficult to light candles. She is rarely invited to birthday parties for this very reason. I know Pascale seems annoyed in this picture, but she's probably tried to light that thing twenty times already. It's amazing that she's humored Dorothy this long.

Classic Ben & Winslow: Witches Be Crazy and Strange Brew
Originally this pair of Halloween strips was going to be a single comic, but the idea got too big for a single page. The witches in the first strip are actual people–winners of a contest I threw on deviantART back in 2012. One of their prizes was to appear in a Ben & Winslow strip. I’ve done this several times and the results are always interesting.
The links above go to the deviantART pages, but you can see the originals on Defenestration here and here.
