Ceciliaās shift ended awhile ago, right after Herman decided to bombard her with questions she couldnāt exactly answer. It had to do with food of some sort. Judging by his description, it seemed exotic, ingredients obtained merely on tropical islands. Like the recipe, the young maid was foreign to the idea. His desire for the dish was blatantly obvious, almost like his intention of getting what he wanted. Not a very simple request to abide to, but Cecilia was open to trying new things.
Heading down the stairs, she makes her way to the entrance, until she spotted an unfamiliar man holding a peacock fan. He appeared to be... quite the head-turner, all right. As he spoke, Cecilia turned around. Herman was flipping pages from a newspaper upstairs.Ā āMhm,ā she sounded out.Ā āTheyāre a huge family. Their family tree branches out to different parts of the region, outside of Alvarna.ā She scratched her chin, then looked back at the man many inches taller than her.
He was likely visiting the town, so she was afraid of tiring him out with her so-called observance. Offering hospitality to the man was the least she could do to make himself comfortable. Alvarnaās community remains small, but very kind. Cecilia didnāt know the man enough to see if heād be fine on his own, but that didnāt stop her.
āForgive me,ā she apologized.Ā āDid you need something?ā No no no, that might have came off a little inconsiderate.Ā āMight I offer you a drink? What would you like?ā
