“Not quite. I have no magic, unlike many of the residents here. Though one of my employees is a grass mage.” Licorice said, speaking of Aaron briefly. “He’s quite talented with plants as well. Though that’s to be expected of a grass mage.”
Licorice muses the last part gently and and watched the girl get lost in her thoughts for a second before she continued talking. Tori.. she seemed to be a pleasant person. Licorice laughed a bit.
“Tori the Water Mage. My name is Licorice. I’m a botanist and lead curator here at the botanical gardens.” Licorice greeted with a soft smile.
“M-Miss Licorice...” Tori repeated. The name sounded familiar for some reason. “W-wait... you...” As Licorice’s title sank in, Tori flipped to the front page of what she was reading. Yep, there was her name, clear as day. “S-So... you’re the one who... wrote this...”
Tori flushed a bit, feeling embarrassed. So, she had been talking about the paper to someone who had written it. She shifted uncomfortably, wondering of Licorice thought she was presumptuous for talking about it. “I-I, um... S-sorry... I didn’t realize that you... um... th-that you...” she trailed off.
