tell them nothing, be safe
Al-Imam Sufyan ath-Thawri stated:
It is amazing that a man, is well-acquainted with his friend, who is well-known to him for his affection and sincere advice, and he knows nothing of him except good for fifty years, then a man who is unknown to him comes to him and informs him of something bad about his friend, and he accepts it from him and forsakes his friendship!

Ibn Abbas (ra) reported: I was riding behind the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he said to me:
“Young man, I will teach you some words. Be mindful of Allah and He will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him before you. If you ask, ask from Allah. If you seek help, seek help from Allah. Know that if the nations gathered together to benefit you, they could not benefit you unless Allah has decreed it for you. And if the nations gathered together to harm you, they could not harm you unless Allah has decreed it for you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.”

Abu Bakr Bin Hafs reported that when Ibn ‘Umar was asked to propose on someone’s behalf, he would go to the woman’s family and say:
“ All praise is due to Allah, and may Allah bestow His salah upon Muhammad. Indeed, so-and-so is asking for the hand of so-and-so in marriage. If you marry her to him, praise be to Allah (for facilitating this); and if you reject him, exalted is Allah (Who is above all deficiencies that exist in His creation).
-Sunan al-Bayhaqi.
I truly appreciate the simplicity of this and the willingness of Ibn ‘Umar to bring people together.
Anas said,
“ A woman came to the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وسلم ) and said to him, ‘I am in need of you,‘ so he said, 'Sit in whichever road of the city you wish, and I shall sit with you!’“

Somedays I wish I could break the hearts of those who’ve broken mine, but then I’m reminded of the fact that I am not them. My heart doesn’t function the way theirs do. My heart could never allow damaging someone else’s view of the world the way other’s have mine.
So that’s why I’m here picking up the pieces you broke, while I know you’re probably sleeping soundly right now with not even a thought spared for me.
As for the one who is not made happy by what has made the Muslims happy, and is not grieved by what has made the Muslims grieve then he is not of them. In the Sahih’s of Al-Bukhari and Muslim from ‘Amir ash-Sha’bi who said:” I heard an-Nu’man bin Bashir delivering a sermon and saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying,
“The similitude of the believers with respect to their mutual love, mutual mercy and mutual kindness is like that of one body. When a part of it suffers, the whole body suffers with fever and sleeplessness.”
-Amrad Al-Qalub Wa Shafa’uha by Imam Ibn Taymiyyah.
Make me of the few ya rabb. Make me of the few.
Make me unknown to the creation, little and unimportant. As long as I’m loved by You and those you love.
All else is dust and will return to it.
Five qualities to seek in a good friend—and to strive to uphold as a good friend:
(1) intelligence; (2) good character; (3) righteousness; (4) renunciation; (5) truthfulness.

Still not a clue
“Forgive yourself for not knowing what you didn’t know before you learned it.”

“I say Allāh made us and they didn’t. So, they didn’t make us, they can’t break us.”
