wizard glasgow was often forgotten during duncanâs summer holiday, in which he preferred to spend time with his family rather than risk running into any of his classmates. that wasnât working out at ALL, since he had already bumped into pippa carstairs that one time, so he decided to not wait until he was at the diagon alley buying supplies to check out the latest nimbus broomstick. his nose was pressed against the window and his eyes g l i t t e r i n g at the gorgeous broom when he recognized a face too familiar inside the shop. âyou got to be shitting me!â he cursed, entering the store. + @alannahpls
Glasgow was a common destination for Alannah during the summer -- it was her dadâs hometown and hence, where a great majority of her family lived. Though, for all her visits, the young witch hadnât managed to venture out far from her grandfatherâs home -- this year sheâd make an effort to see more of Glasgow, though often found herself in stores the tiniest bit similar to those back home in London. The little store she was in now oddly reminded her of a store just around the corner from her home, and while Alannah wasnât necessarily the sentimental type, she was glad for the familiarity. Her little bubble popped soon enough, with an easily recognizable yell -- good old Duncan Fainuâu. Could always be counted on to keep things interesting. âCaptain!â the witch greeted, face split in a grin. âYou seem... happy to see me.â

âIf I recall correctly youâre the one who got tired last time, you just werenât forced to quit because I had things to do.â
âNo idea what youâre talking about, actually.â
jasonmacmillan.
âYou never did answer my question.â
âWhy bother with a score limit? We can just play until you get tired.â
jasonmacmillan.
âIâm just that kind.â
âIf you say so, buddy.â

âHey, my dad needed help. I have no regrets about leaving. But nah, Iâm all yours today.â
âWow, really? What did I ever do to get so lucky?â
jasonmacmillan.
âSo,â Jace started, tossing the quaffle back and forth, âwhat are we playing to?â
âDepends,â Alannah mused. âDo you have anything you need to do today? And no, Iâm still not over the time you had to leave early to go help your dad and no, Iâll never be over it.â

  nix was three lima lushâs into his summer reading when a shadow cast over his table. he glanced up, eyes squinting to adjust to the change in view as he smiled as the witch standing before him. âum - hi. did you .. i mean, thereâs another seat if you want to.. â he gestured to the vacant chair rather awkwardly, cursing under his breath when he nearly knocked over the latest can of soda heâd been consuming.   { @alannahpls }
Alannah gave a gentle snort at the wizardâs apparent awkwardness -- she genuinely hadnât meant to make him feel out of sorts, just thought itâd be polite to say hello. âSure!â the witch sat down in the offered seat, pointedly not mentioning his near-accident. âSorry for randomly popping in like this, my dad--â she jerked her head back towards the counter, where a graying man was amicably debating with the shop attendant, âis currently embroiled in a bitter battle over what the best cake flavor is and I was getting bored. What are you reading?â
blythecarlisle.
deep breaths, she reminded herself, just before she emerged in diagon alley. her parents had become more insistent than ever about blythe conquering her fears more, especially as they wanted to sell their house & move abroad once sheâd graduated, leaving her alone for the first time. sheâd have to find her own house, & a job, along with learning to fend for herself. so they wanted her to get used to putting herself  â out there â. theyâd  b r o k e n this news to her halfway through her summer, & although by that point sheâd already finished her school shopping, she was trying to go out more into the wizarding world as theyâd urged her to. she kept to the edge of the street to avoid the hustle & bustle, but it didnât stop her from bumping into multiple people. after a while, she found herself squatting down in a side alley to escape from it all for a  f e w moments, hoping that no one would see her. but then sheâd knocked over a display cauldron & it had gone rolling into some unsuspecting personâs path. shit.
Okay, maybe she shouldâve gone to collect her materials for the new school year a little earlier -- Diagon Alley was practically bursting at the seams with the amount of customers, and Alannah could only see it getting worse as the day progressed -- but she was well-known for her procrastination and truth be told, she didnât see that changing any time soon. Besides, she did this practically every year and hadnât turned up to Hogwarts poorly-prepared yet. Though all her effort wouldâve been for nothing had she slipped on this cauldron rolling down the walkway, and Alannah thanked her observation skills. The witch shifted her newly-bought textbooks to one arm and leaned down to retrieve the cauldron, momentarily looking around to see where it had fallen from. Once safely back in its original position, Alannah noticed a smaller girl looking utterly horrified nearby and it didnât take a genius to connect the dots. âHey, youâre okay. Thereâs no dents or anything -- just a little scratched up, but that adds character. Iâm sure whoever buys it will love it!â

Reed,
Itâs a formal challenge. Of course it had to be submitted in writing. Â
So Iâll see you tomorrow then?

You, me, one on one quidditch match. Â At your earliest convenience.
Best Regards,

Macmillan,
I truly hate to break it you, but Iâm busy all summer. Guess youâll have to settle with playing with yourself. I mean, youâll do that anyway, but still.
P.S: We live LITERALLY two blocks apart. Are you just trying to give your owl exercise?
Yours,
Alannah Reed

nora.
Nora looked out the window as the trees raced by. Or, she supposed, as she raced by the trees. Her sixth year at Hogwarts was under her belt and she wasnât sure how she felt about that. People keep telling her that the end is nigh, and ask her what her plans are for after school. The truth? She honestly didnât know. While her passion for plants and, really, all living things stays strong, she isnât really sure what she can do with that. Hogwarts and her home in Romania is all that sheâs ever known, and sheâs not exactly one to stray into the unknown. Sheâs a creature of habit. She sighed and looked down at her hands, entwined with a lily she found on her way to the train. She supposed it must mean something, but she isnât quite sure what. Suddenly, thereâs a soft rapping on the compartment door. She jumps in her seat slightly, taken aback by the sudden shove back into reality. Her eyes dart to the door to see who has come to visit her in her quiet lonely compartment.
âJesus, blondie--â Alannah muttered, observing the blondeâs vaguely alarmed expression. Sheâd tried to not disturb her too much, but that seemed to come to nothing. âJust looking for a seat, and you seem pretty lonely in here. You mind?â Without waiting for an answer, the witch plonked down on the seat opposite Nora, already quite at home. âSo, uh -- whatâs got you angsting out the window? And please, if itâs a Ma and Pa donât love me story, spare me the bullshit. Make up something cool. Or at the very least, something original.â
hiya! this prob wonât pop up in the tag yet but iâm lia and this my bb alannah and weâre uber excited to be here. my timezone is literally the worst (good old australia), but i have little-to-no-life so iâll usually be on whenever iâm not sleeping. if you wanna know a little more about the two of us, just peek down below!
