I think my favourite part of this whole Maxtirement arc is how Lestappen fans are reacting to it vs Maxiel fans.

Lestappen fans: “NOOO Max can’t retireeee, he’s supposed to race against Charles until they both retire togetherrr omg 😖😖 We haven’t even gotten a proper title fight between the two of them, this is so awful 😞😞😞”

Maxiel fans: “Release this man from the throes of this godawful sport and let him roam the motorsports wilderness in search of his dreams. Go find Daniel.”

Really feel like max would have a better time if he just called daniel and had him speak to the #3 car. like, just him nervously crouched down in the garage before a race, holding the phone up to the car’s nose and daniel telling it: "hey old girl, let’s be nice to Max, yeah?". has red bull tried that yet?
