Okay episode 4 had me tearing up...
I was anxious with Inori the entire time for her first performance with the feeling of possibly experiencing her first defeat and loss ESPECIALLY during the practice session where she kept falling? Ugh that broke my heart! But after she wanted to make the change herself, that's where the turning point for her character finally happened. She may have failed that first jump but nailed everything to the end and not only just won the competition, but her mother's full support too! I can't believe this fictional child is inspiring me as an adult.
Shoutout to Tsukasa too! Best coach she could ever ask for. If it wasn't for him, Inori would not be able to make that change with her passion for ice skating. He better keep protecting that smile (and her dreams!). I'm gonna be tearing up every week, am I? This series is so good 😭
If Inori has a million number of fans, I AM one of them.
If Inori has ten fans, I AM one of them.
If Inori has only one fan, that is... probably Tsukasa-sensei, but also ME! So that makes two fans.
If Inori has no fans, that means Tsukasa never existed and I am no longer on the Earth.
If the world is against Inori, I AM against the world.
Win or lose. Good form or bad form. I'll support Inori 'till my last breath ⛸️ PROTECT. THAT. SMILE.
In all seriousness though, Medalist is freakin' great! Probably my favorite series of the year so far.
Chika's backstory shown in EP6 of TsumaSho was an emotional gut punch seeing how much her own mother abused her as a child. It was hard for me to sympathize with her since she eventually became what she hated by abusing her own daughter but she eventually reached a breaking point with betrayal after betrayal... and when Marika got sick, she cared deeply because her daughter is the only thing she had left. That talk with the Niijimas finally pushes her to start over again with a clean slate after hearing Marika wanting to stay with her despite the truth behind her reincarnation...
Just as Marika said earlier in the episode, you can't just judge someone after meeting them once and that's what Keisuke and all of us saw with her being an abusive parent. What Chika did was inexcusable and irresponsible as parent, but deep down in her heart shrouded with all the emotional pain in her life, she still loved her daughter and is now getting another chance to fix their relationship and make up for the bad parenting she committed. 🥲
This anime is so underrated, easily one of my favorites this season!
If someone asks me what the main premise of Dandadan is
I knew I would love Hina coming into Blue Box blind but I knew I would also hate this because she will most likely be the losing heroine... and here we are 😭
Despite that... she's such a strong-willed character!
Glad she was able to overcome her emotional struggles and even won her qualifiers by the end of EP6... girl still gets inspiration from Taiki even knowing that her true feelings for him might end up in heartbreak. Looks like things are back to normal (for now).
Keep Hina Happy 🩷
-Kazuhiko Nukumizu from Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! EP11
This was such a chad MC moment for Okumura... once only caring for his 2D waifu (Liliel), he finally breaks out and acknowledges Ririsa for who she is and not just who she cosplays. He really cares for her! ❤️
We need more of this happy Lemon
and less of this pls... she's lost enough
Kobato can't say no... she will get what she wants
I know it was expected but it always hurts me to see the shy and timid girl dealing with heartbreak… out of the main heroines, Komari actually had the biggest chance to score her guy, but in this case the childhood friend won his heart.
The follow-up to Komari's rejection was too darn wholesome and sweet… she still looks up to her (now dating?) senpais eliminating any awkward tension with the club and moves on like nothing ever changed before.
She was never a homewrecker and she deserves the world 😭❤️🩹
Ririsa posing Liliel's loving gaze to Ashford-sama as she points to Masamune was the best part of this episode 📸 😳
