@ale-wa
we die like men
Adara possessed Alé :3
I read about you, and I gotta say, I'm glad you're back to being blue! How did you manage to earn the Blue Ring back? Or was that story there and I didn't notice it?
[[ooc: Thank you so much for reading up! Even though I haven't been incredibly active here, I do appreciate it greatly. Knowing my little character entertained somebody means an awful lot!
The truth is, I rebooted Alé-wa to a certain point. Her Red Lantern "arc" didn't go as planned because nobody noticed it and/or wanted to play it out with me at the time, so after sitting for a few months on it, I just decided to give her a fresh start altogether.
I was going to give her a quick ficlet on how she got her ring back, as well, but again, considering I was still new to the Tumblr RP world and not many were interacting with me (Along with the fact that other friends got busy with life, and along the road, so did I), I decided to not bother. But, I feel like this won't satisfy you as an answer, so here's a quick sum-up.
Alé-wa was stuck on Earth for months after she had given up her ring, in thought that she no longer deserved to be a part of the Corps after giving in to her anger. But she didn't stay in one spot all that time; instead, she journeyed throughout the area she was stuck in, eventually finding herself sneaking onto means on transportation such as boats and ferries to explore more of Earth's surface. Eventually, she kept seeing the hope in others as she saw them pass, and found it more understanding that you shouldn't let one event define your entire being. And soon enough, she found hope again.]]
Long Time, No See
“Especially f-food…” *Amaya smiled, silently breathing a sigh of relief that she hadn’t been too weird in Alé’s eyes.
At least, Alé hadn’t said she was. As she took her friend’s hand to lead her along, she smiled a bit brighter* “Y-You know, I think f-food’s a good way to strengthen friendship…Something about sh-sharing a meal together. It must be the s-same for you, right? Sort of?”
The alien let her friend lead her along as she kept herself at a comfortable pace. Seeing Amaya's smile again was putting Alé-wa's heart at ease, even moreso that this reunion wasn't bearing any tears.
Amaya's bright eyes looked back to her; drawing the Neian's attention from the green trees around them.
"My planet does not have many customs as Earth does, but this is one of them!"

"Crepes!"
*Amaya just blurted it out, and now she turned red in embarrassment. Still, she smiled up at her friend, taking her hands in both of her own* “I—I think we should get some f-food! And…and sharing a snack with a f-friend is always the best, so…so I think we could get crepes together. I-if you wanted to.”
*…come to think of it, Amaya suggested eating crepes with her friends a lot. She wondered if maybe she was too predictable*
Alé-wa gave a light chuckle to Amaya's blurting and sudden embarrassment; perhaps it was a bit rude, but it was interesting to see the differences between other species throughout the universe. How they blushed, how their faces moved, how many fingers they had on their hands.
"Of course," She grinned, "Spending time with a dear friend is what matters most. Even in the form of food."
Long Time, No See
"You were? …I g-guess you must’ve b-been very busy!" *Lots of things are still wreaking havoc here after all, and Ale-wa’s a hero, right? So it makes sense…*
"…either way, I’m glad t-to see you." *Amaya hugged her again, tight as possible* "W-We have to do something together n-now!"
"Ah, yes..." The alien's voice trailed off and she averted her eyes for a moment, remembering what exactly had happened over all this time. "Very.. busy."
Alé was caught by surprise with her friend's tight embrace once more, and returned it with a soft smile. Something about Amaya just seemed to bring her some peace.
"Absolutely. Whatever it is you would like to do."
[[The mun went to a store called Fuego today and felt the need to buy ALL THE PINS]]
[[I'm so stoked. I went to the comic book store today to get my TMNT, but I found out they were still carrying GLTAS. <3 And not only were they up-to-date, they actually had EVERY ISSUE except for #5 and #9! The comic book person was super nice to hold them for me while I save up enough money to get them and put them in a box for me, while even ordering the missing issues! And then this 60+ year old comic book shop owner and I were talking about how much we loved the cartoon and how sad we were when it got canceled.]]

*Amaya gave her friend one more squeeze before letting go, briefly dangling there in Ale’s hug. She smiled up at her, bright-eyed.*
"W-Where have you b-b-been, though? D-Did you go see new planets? O-or new universes, or—wow, h-how’d you find this place again?"
Alé watched the gleam in her friend's eye with much interest; it was the little things like this that made everything worth it.
On Amaya's questions, the alien gently settled her friend back down on the ground. She averted her eyes a moment, feeling guilty.
"I'm afraid to admit I have not," She answered, folding her hands together. "I have been on Earth this entire time, my friend." With a soft smile, she added, "Finding this place is not easy, but remembering where I visited an important person is."
[[Holy cow, New wave of followers! Hi :D]]
Long Time, No See
*And at this point, Amaya really did drop her coffee.* “Ale-wa!”
*the girl ran the rest of the way down the path, over to the alien, and leaped up to give her a hug as best she could. She hugged Ale-wa tight as possible, smiling from ear to ear as she talked* “Ale-wa! I’ve m-missed you so much! I-It’s so good to see you!”
Alé-wa expected Amaya to be excited, but to see the human rushing toward her was something that was she was unprepared for.
Amaya had taken a leap, and one that lasted for quite a distance. Arms wrapped around the alien's neck and shoulders tightly, and Alé's own arms instinctively wrapped around Amaya, keeping the human's feet just barely brushing the grass. She let out a laugh, realizing that this whole thing was actually happening. After so long.
"I have missed you, too," She smiled. "It's been far too long."
Long Time, No See
*Soon enough, Amaya came by, along one of the little paths that wound through the park. She held a can of warm coffee in her hands, sipping it once in a while.
For some reason she’d just felt compelled to come here…she wasn’t sure why, she just was. Maybe something good was going to happen today…
And then as she rounded a bend, she stopped. Stared. Someone was here; someone she hadn’t seen in a long time. She nearly dropped the coffee as she stared.* “A-Ale…”
*she licked her lips and tried again, raising her voice* "Ale-wa?"
The breeze was a bit more crisp than she'd expected, but that was okay. Something seemed to call her in the distance, like some sort of whisper on the wind. Maybe she was just hearing things.
But there it was again, and this time, audible. Black eyes opened as she looked over to her left, a small gasp accompanying her smile as she stood. She'd recognize that purple hair anywhere. She folded her hands in front of her and gave a solemn nod.
"Hello, Amaya."
