hello hello hello! you lovely lot can call me g and i am here to introduce you to my kid, alex. i suck at introductions so i’ll jump right to it.

INTRODUCTION

Jordan Alexander Warren Reynolds, firstborn of a very turbulent relationship between Robert Warren and Alycia Reynolds. The couple never got married, but they did birth two kids during their time together.

Alex was born and raised in Islesbury, Rhode Island. His childhood was far away from normal, however. His parents were involved in the production of drugs from before he was even born and the business followed them throughout the years, it was their only steady job and the only way they could even get by. Either he liked it or not, he had been involved in the crime business since before he was even conscious, he grew up in a house turned into a clandestine lab and narcotics have shaped him throughout the years. He has a younger sibling, whom Alex had to take care of from day one because his parents weren’t too involved with their kids’ raising after a certain point in their lives. He always did his best to try and make sure his sibling was well fed and as happy as they could be, unaware of everything happening in their garage.

As the years went by, his father became more and more dependent of drugs and alcohol, more violent and short-tempered, to the point where he started abusing his family (mostly Alex, as the kid often tried to get between his parents and his sibling), whatever rage he had he’d get revenge on them to the point where people who knew Alexander from school got involved several times and called for aid, to no avail. One day, when Alexander was around twelve and working on a dog pound, social services got involved after getting a call from a concerned neighbour and they took Alex’s sibling. The family didn’t hear from them again and something broke inside of Alex and he started to rebel. He met the wrong crowd and started getting in trouble and getting more and more acquaintance in the world of illegal substances. Not a year later, Robert walked out and after that, it was only Alycia and Alex, Alycia broke down. Before that, the two had a perfect relationship and although they didn’t seem eye to eye on many topics and had their fair share of problems, they always managed to resolve them by talking. After they lost 2/4 of their family however, something in their dynamic shifted and they began pulling apart.

As things goes, however, when Alex turned 15, and after going to a party he wasn’t allowed to go to in the first place, the young man returned home to his mother lying on the floor, completely unconscious; she was ruled dead by the time aid arrived to the home. He was completely alone and to this day, he blames himself for his mother’s demise. After a few months of him wandering around and acting destructively, Alex had a revelation: he had to be the best version of himself he could be in order to honor his mother. From then on, Alex studied hard and ended up graduating top of his class. He moved to New York after graduation and enlisted in college. He has a PhD in Criminal Justice and a masters in Public Administration and in Emergency Management and Homeland Security. He got enlisted in the FBI immediately shortly after.

His career really meant a lot to him, he realized once he got his life back together that he wanted to keep people safe, he wanted to fight so that people didn’t have to go through everything he went through. He wanted to fight the bad guys and win, make the world a better place. He is also very good at his job. While he was away from Catalina, he met the person that first showed him light not so shortly after, he was finally getting his life together. He had a job he loved and a partner he adored; that’s when it all went wrong once more. After one distinct case he worked on (and won), his entire office got a threat in the form of pictures of their beloved. Alex immediately panicked and started distancing from his partner. The couple broke off the engagement and their relationship shortly after.

After the break-up that broke his heart and a bad injury during a failed case that nearly took his life, Alexander returned home at the age of 27 when he decided to prepare to become a teacher. At the age of 28, the former agent got a a job in Central Elementary School as a music teacher. Slowly, he climbed up the ladder from substitute teacher to the fourth grade teacher position he currently is at. About a year ago, one of his students and her older brother lost their parents on a horrific accident related to drugs and, having no family of their own, they turned to Alexander, who took every seminar and class he could to become a foster parent. Him, Jack, Zoe and their labradoodle, Pollux, live in Agnes St.

PERSONALITY

For the most part, Alexander is a very loving and caring person. He genuinely cares about making those around him happy, he is very protective of those he loves, sometimes to a fault. But he always has good intentions, unless you hurt someone he loves, then he can be hell on earth and he has the FBI on his side so really, don’t cross him.

He can get VERY hot-heated, he is a very passionate guy when something really interests him.

He’s basically tired ???? all the time??? he doesn’t sleep that much but he’s getting better at it now that he doesn’t sleep alone) but yeah, big part of his personality, either tired or drinking coffee.

Kind of a mess, he tries to hides it because he has kids that depend on him now.

Honestly, just a very tired old golden retriever with an awful past he is still trying to deal with.

Hobbies include: Broadway, cooking, sports, reading, dogs and history

It was so sweet, watching all the parents interacting with their kids. It made a strange pang of jealousy go through Lizzie, the same pang that hit her when she saw another friend get engaged or married. It was that feeling that she was behind somehow, that she wasn’t good enough. That she’d missed her chance to have those things. But when she looked around her bakery, the one she put so much time and effort into, and saw all the happy smiles of her patrons, the feelings went away like a wisp of smoke.

“Let’s give it a try. I’ve been told I’m good with kids.” She stage-whispered to Alex, as  his name tag said, before turning to face his children. Lizzie briefly wondered what the situation was there, as his kids didn’t really look like him. Maybe their mother? Or an adoption situation? Either way, it was none of her business. She was just there to make cookies. “Okay Zoey, so to frost cookies you have to make sure you follow two easy steps. First you outline the cookie with this frosting, and then you fill in that outline with this kind.” Lizzie explained, pointing to the stiff and flood consistencies. She’d made the bags different colors to help the little ones remember.

“After that, you can go crazy! Use all different colors, try sprinkles, or use a toothpick to make a spooky spiderweb design. Here, I can help you.” She said, gently putting her hands over Zoey’s to keep the border around the cookie steady. Both kids had a real knack in the kitchen and she told their father that. Once the sounds of happy kids filled the air, she turned back to him. “They’re absolutely adorable. They have the same smile as you, it’s very cute.”

      the grin on the teacher’s face widened as the brunette ventured to try and convince the strong-willed kid to losen up as he rested a hand on top his other kid’s shoulder standing next to him as he listened to the exchange happening before him, eyebrow raised with amusement. his lips curled up involuntarily when zoey, amidst her usual cleaning fervour, turned to stare directly at the baker, her green and expressive eyes focused on the woman as her tiny hands motioned little circles with the towel she had chosen over the counter. once the teacher for the day was done with her explanation, the toddler turned to meet alexander’s eyes. in response, he nodded as he gently squeezed jack’s shoulder for him to join his sister and the baker “she’s really good, sweetie. help her decorate! remember those cookies we saw when we came in, the ones you liked? she made them!” he enthused the little girl with a smile.

      in a little over two years, the lives of the three individuals had completely changed to what they were once and he was acutely aware of the repercussion his decision had made on himself, but it wasn’t hard to see that the ones that had been affected the most. it had been two difficult years, from dealing with the aftermath to jack’s mood swings that came naturally with age, only highlighted by everything the young kid had been through in his lifetime. those harsh moments where it felt like too much, were quickly and easily overshadowed every time either of his kids grinned like zoey was doing at that moment, letting her imagination run wild as she so diligently tried to help jack to outline one of the cookies they had made. it became a reminder, of how far they’d come. 

      the blue-eyed pursed his lips briefly as the brunette spoke to him again, a tight smile held in place for a brief moment, eyes falling to jack momentarily, waiting for him to barge in and say something about the compliment, to inform the brunette they weren’t really related. it had become a habit of him, every time someone pointed them out as a family or referred to alexander as anything but a guardian. however, the pre-teen said nothing, instead deciding to focus on the cookie he had on his hand and on teaching his younger sister how to decorate, easiness washing over the teacher as he looked up at the other with a grateful grin. “thank you, they are the best kids i could’ve asked for” he confessed wholeheartedly, looking around the establishment “you have a really nice place, and the classes are incredible, you make it fun for the kids, you’re a natural” he complimented back with a nod. “do you do them daily? or is it a... holiday thing?”

“That’s right, just make sure that the dough is even before you start using the cookie cutters.” Lizzie said to the group. In the beginning of October, she’d offhandedly mentioned to her mom that the town had a lot of kids, and that they probably needed something to do. So wouldn’t it be cute to have a little Halloween baking class. Just one night where parents could bring their kids to decorate spooky cookies and burn off some energy. Her mom thought it was a good idea and so did Lizzie and so, here she was helping a bunch of 7-12 year olds decorate sugar cookie bats. But strangely enough, there were a few adults participating too. A grandma was helping their grandson flood a white ghost while a dad kept his two kids from decorating themselves. 

“I’d stop that if I were you.” Lizzie sing-songed to the kids. They paused in suspicion. “Don’t you know the best tasting cookie is a decorated one?” With that, she gave a wink to their dad and pointed to their trays, as if to say get to work.”It’s really not a big deal if they make a mess. I have wet cloths and they’re having fun, so it’s all good.” She whispered to the man, craning her neck a little at his height.

Alexander adored cooking. From a very young age, when the blue-eyed had learned to fend for himself and his younger sibling, he had always loved the aspect of cooking for his loved ones, a love that only intensified when he grew up into a teenager and found a sort of refuge in between pans and recipes from the chaos that had become of his life and sharing that feeling with the people in his life had become his love language. Of course, when Jack and Zoey entered in his life in the chaotic and dramatic way they did and became a part of his family, that feeling grew exponentially. In Alexander’s eyes, there was nothing better than ending a night with a semi-messy kitchen, well-fed kids and dirty clothes from culinary experiments his kids liked to make. But even though he had over twenty years of experience when it came to cooking, the blond still had a lot to learn which was why, when Zoey enthusiastically asked him to teach her to make the cookies she liked so much (that he didn’t have the recipe for, mind you), the teacher signed himself and his kids up for a cooking class with the best baker he could find in Islesbury.

Reason why he found himself in a kitchen that wasn’t his own, proudly grinning at Zoey, who was actively cleaning after the disaster Jack had left behind while they waited for the cookies they had mixed and cut out to cool down. Before the siblings came into his life, Alexander had been known to be a, for a lacking of a better word, neat-freak but he, as many before him had learned that trying to keep a five year old and a twelve year old clean. What he never imagined, however, was his now six-year-old to be worse than him. As the teacher approached their station, Alexander couldn’t help but chuckle, ruffling his daughter’s hair with his fingers as he looked down at her. “Trust me, I tried to stop her, she doesn’t listen to me. She may be little but I have never met someone so strong-willed” the father of two whispered the last few words to the brunette, shaking his head to himself. Jack, who was carefully touching the cookies to make sure not to break them, quipped mockingly, making the blond roll his eyes playfully in return before looking back at the teacher. “You are welcome to try, she really liked you teaching her to mix so she may actually listen to you” Alex ventured,his smile growing slightly at the sight of Zoey’s little hands holding onto a towel twice the size of her head trying to get rid off a stain on the counter.

who: anyone ! where: near rizzo on the road, it is 9pm, and rohan is sat on the sidewalk.

“no, no! i haven’t been here long at all,” he is trying, and failing, to manoeuvre a hefty burrito. it spills onto his shirt, and he glows red, dusting quickly before his new friend notices. “i’ve just been wanting to get out there, you know? live untethered. ironic really, considering hi score is full of wires!” he laughs at that, but then his voice drops to a whisper. “but in all honesty, i have no idea what i’m doing.”

      alex’s lips curl up into a small smile, lacking any trace of judgement, a hint of amusement hidden on his eyes as he took a seat next to the man. he had about an hour and a half off before having to pick zoe and jack from a party they had been invited to. he had been on edge all afternoon, being the first party the kids had gone alone since they came into his life, so letting go of his nervousness was perhaps, the best he could do for himself at the moment. “i’m probably the worst person to give advice here, I haven’t gone out in months” he jests, a soft sigh escaping him “but i think it’s cool that you wanna get out there. i think most people just... kinda roll the dice, not knowing what you’re doing? that’s okay. that’s most of us, i think” he grins again, encouragingly. “if you could be anywhere, out there... where would you be right now?”

nico scanned the bookshelves, waiting for something to catch his interest. his eyes were caught by the spine of lord of the flies. he took it out and walked to the other aisle where alex stood. “you know i never read this?” he said, looking at the back of the book. “my english teacher in high school was all about ignoring classics.” he’d never bothered to pick it up on his own, always interested in different genres.

he handed the book to alex and took out his phone, quickly googling the book. while he wasn’t about to spend time reading it, he wanted to know what happened in it. he sped through its wikipedia article. well. he had never known that, though he had guessed it from what everyone said. “i see…,” he said slowly before smiling a bit, “you know, it’s kinda funny.”

      the blond found himself immerse on the titles presented to him, fingertips brushing against the spines presented in front of him, endless possibilities awaiting him as he searched for the book of the week, the strongest contender being broken faith, which he carried with him on his left hand. it wasn’t until he heard his companion’s voice however that the blue-eyed reacted, looking up from the titles displayed to find a known face looking at a book he knew quite well, a small smile stretching over his features.

      “smart man, your teacher” alexander concluded, blue eyes scanning the copy handed to him. “there is no scenario where putting prepubescent kids to read lord of the flies will go right. i get it’s a classic and has valid points on various subjects— all the fourteen year olds in my class wanted to turn into ralph te second after our teacher made us read it. it’s... quite a ride” he shrugged, never quite a fan of the piece of work itself. “there’s a movie, i think” then, a pause. “what other classics did your teacher keep you from? was he a purist who repelled shakespeare? never let you youngings discover don quixote? both have valid arguments against them, like every classic. we’re taught really dumb stuff when we’re in school.”

celia  has  opened  her  eyes  a  number  of  times  expecting  to  be  taken  back  to  her  old  house.  her  dad,  wracked  with  hangover,  would  immediately  yell  at  her  if  he  caught  her  glance.  “  how  many  times  do  i  need  to  tell  you  ?  get  my  goddamned  breakfast  ready  before  i  wake  up  !  ” speechless,  steps  would  bring  her  to  the  almost  empty  cupboards.  and  she’d  mindlessly  serve  the  man  his  breakfast  with  one  thought  inside  her  head.  where  is  he  ? he  in  question  being her  younger  brother.  

her  own  house  felt  like  a  nightmare  to  her.  one  that  she  had  to  experience  every  passing  day.  playing  the  role  of  a  burdened  mother  to  fill  the  absence  of  this  unnamed  woman  she  will  never  meet.  this  is  why  each  time  she  opens  her  starry  eyes  to  the  ceiling  of  the  room  she  shares  with  alexander  warren,  she  feels  the  need  for  reassurance.  this  is  real.  she  was  so  sure  that  escaping  that  house  was  a  fantasy, one  without  the  potential  of  becoming  her  reality.  

they  made  it.  celia  and  alex.  they  made  this  fantasy  real.  

bluest  of  eyes  slightly  open,  to  the  most  beautiful  sight  to  wake  up.  the  love  of  her  life,  next  to  her,  as  close  as  he  can  be.  "  i  swear  to  god  that  i  have  just  heard  degas’  wake  up  call.  "  with  her  raspy  morning  voice,  she  murmurs.  the  tender  kisses  of  the  blue-eyed  man  adorn  her  skin,  tenaciously.  her  hand  is  on  his  chest  ;  and  with  a  heartbeat  felt  beneath  fingertips,  her  hand  travels  to  his  neck  as  if  tracing  that  single  pulse.  “  i  don’t  know,  have  you  ?  i  think  i’ll  need  you  to  repeat  that. ”  her  lips  graze  his  jawline  with  a  kiss.  “  again.  ”  one  more.  "  and  again.  "  and  one  more.    "to  help  me  keep  that  in  mind.  "

      every morning is a reminder of how lucky alexander warren really is.

      truth is, family life has never come easy for the warrens. before celia, alexander could count with one hand the times he’d wake up feeling like he belonged. even when his family was by his side, most of the time spent together left him wishing they weren’t. as much as he loved his parents, because despite their history together and the harm they had caused on him and his sibling he truly did loved them both, their dynamic had been cursed from the beginning; always overshadowed by personal demons alexander’s could never understand as a naïve, wounded and neglected child. growing up, the dirt-blond had spent days listening to people talk about family and home, always feeling inadequate for not finding what everyone described, feeling alone. until a light with blue eyes and golden hair illuminated his life, completely turning his world upside down; giving love a new meaning who now is resting next to him in the very same room that used to bring so many painful memories.

      he hums. “he’s probably hungry. don’t worry, i’ll get it” the blond vows, lips gently pressed against her warm skin, a hand traveling to her back as the teacher decidedly pulls her closer to himself, fitting himself into every space he can fit in, that she could grant him. delighted by the tender display of affection granted by the other, the blue-eyed inhaled dreamily, eyes closed for a brief moment as he relished on his current situation, celia’s light weight and calm heartbeat lulling him into a sense of secureness and familiarity he had never experienced before; the feeling of belonging sitting idly in his stomach.

      as he is asked to repeat his statement, his lips curl up into an enamoured grin and quietly presses a kiss on the blonde’s forehead whilst whispering a soft “there is nothing i love more than waking up next to you” into her skin before looking down to face his girlfriend, nose to nose as he lets himself admire the woman next to him. “i could spend all my life telling you so every morning and it wouldn’t be enough to describe it” the teacher breathes out, chewing his inner cheek delicately, cerulean eyes looking for a matching pair. “that, and bringing you breakfast to our bed at every given chance. any requests for today?”

      alexander held onto the bag he had brought along with him as he walked through the streets in the town, mind focused on connor. the drama teacher was on his way to his friend home, to check on him. the two hadn’t met a long ago; to be completely honest the blond didn’t really know much of the young man— other than the sadness he carried with himself was something the blue-eyed felt familiar, to a degree. the heaviness on his chest whenever he breath, the tiredness he wore on his face, all were something the former troubled teenager could relate to. alas, after getting the other’s number the day they had met and stroke up a pleasant conversation, alex planned for them to meet up, deciding the other’s home as the perfect place for them to hang out.

      as he arrived to the address connor had provided with everything he had brought along with him, the blue-eyed rang the bell and waited patiently for the young man to answer. once he was greeted by the other, the drama teacher grinned, holding up the bag with him. “i`ve been stress-cooking for like, two days. ready for a buffet lunch? i even have dessert on lock.”

      as alexander entered happiest hour, the blond couldn’t help but feel lighter. perhaps it had to do with the ambience of the venue, the way you could hear the laughs of other patrons from outside. or perhaps, it had to do with the fact that he was meeting with his brother and it all felt familiar. it was truly a blessing, being able to watch mason grow up and still have him in his life after the younger sibling was taken away from the warren’s household. their father had walked out by choice right before mason’s parents contacted the family about their desire to keep the sibling’s relationship intact, never being around to watch his younger kid again, which was a blessing in disguise. alycia, their mother, however, had experience two years of joy, having her two kids by her side to make sure they were okay and healthy before taking her last breath. mason, and by extension his family, becoming his own when he needed them the most.

      after a long week between work and studying to become a teacher, debts and children making the most dramatic plays a childs play, it was nice to finally sit down and enjoy some time with his brother, away from the world’s problems. “okay, what do you want? i’m getting a beer— you need anything stronger? should we get some fries or something?” he inquired mason as the two siblings found a place at the bar, a sigh escaping him as he felt the tension on his shoulderblades vanish, turning to face the other with a grin. “how have you been, man? how’s the old man? are we still on for next weekend? i found this cool recipe online i think he will like, i’ll settle up the grill— celia will love to see you two.”

   as dawn came and the first rays of sunshine shining through the curtains that separated the room in the household from the outside world hit his features, alexander exhaled, a small grin spreading through his features while warmness spread through his face. one of his favorite parts of the weekend, as much as the blond adored his job, was not having to rush. during week days, with his and celia’s tight schedule, he was lucky to have a good morning kiss before both of them had to move on with their days. weekends away from the life of teaching and celia’s classes gave the couple time to stay in bed past their normal time, an opportunity to breathe and enjoy eachother’s companies. 

      the blue-eyed opened his eyes, the first image appearing in front of him being the face of the person he loved the most in the world, peaceful and lovely as always, a sense of peace settling on the pit of his stomach almost immediately, a newfound feeling the drama teacher wanted to retain for the rest of his life. on cue, as he was letting the domestic bliss of the moment shared with his girlfriend fill him, the purr of one degas coming from somewhere between the two resting bodies made him chuckle. never had alexander imagined himself as a cat owner— and yet now, after living with one, he couldn’t quite imagine a life without the furry one, nor his owner. 

      feeling the blonde beginning to wake to the call of the family pet, alexander’s arm found a home around her frame, keeping her in place as his face found hers, the tip of his nose caressing her cheekbones gently while placing sweet kisses on her skin. “good morning, i really love waking up next to you every morning, have i told you that before?”

      ever since the day at the beach, zoe and jack had been asking their dad about the nice woman pollux had decided to run into, his daughter’s eyes gleaming with interest and wander and, since their relationship as co-workers had escalated into a blossoming friendship, the blond deemed it appropriate to invite gina for dinner so the three could meet eachother and gina could catch a glimpse of his very own life outside of the classroom and their never-ending roles as educators. the kids, excited to meet a new friend, had helped clean up the house and had even helped with the dinner alexander had decided to make himself. alas why, as his doorbell rang, he had flour all over his pants and shirt and why the kids were in their rooms, finding new clothes to look a bit more presentable for the guest. 

     as pollux began to bark at the door, tail waging enthusiastically at the possibilities on the other side, the blue-eyed walked to answer it, a defeated and gentle smile greeting gina as he opened the doors to his home. “hey, welcome to the chaos, i hope you are hungry!” he enthused with a chuckle,opening the door entirely so the other could step inside, inhaling deeply while scratching the back of his neck as pollux approached the scene, excitement pouring over the labradoodle. “so glad you could make it, the kids are changing and excited to meet you— do you want anything to drink? i have wine, whiskey, apple juice— pick your poison.”
