pullus is a papillon noir whose egg was traded during a peacetime between britain and france! he is captained by david purves. pullus is in a formation with bellicus, and along with a few other dragons, they form up under a longwing by the name of damnatius! pullus is a very gossipy fella, and enjoys yapping about anything! pullus is latin, and means dark-colored, blackish / sad, gloomy / a dark garment, and in this instance, the first definition is what purves based pullus’ name off of :)
big iron is an unnamed american-spanish cross that is based off of a canary wood speckled butterfly! he’s “captained” by a cowboy named william rogers, who isn’t entirely certain why he’s in possession of such a Big dragon. big iron’s egg was recovered from a bandit den, and in the middle of rogers rescuing his egg and escaping danger, big iron hatched. he’s a heavyweight, reaching up to 26ish tons in weight. he’s quite lazy overall, but is very amiable—until rogers is threatened of course!
bellicus is a yellow reaper. she’s younger than pullus by a few years, and hatched just a couple of years before the war. she is captained by elizabeth dowey, who was at the hatching by sheer accident. bellicus latched onto her quickly, and they’ve been inseparable since! bellicus is a sweetheart, and extremely chatty. she enjoys gossip with pullus, and listening to dowey read stories or talk about officer gossip! bellicus is derived from latin, meaning martial, military, war-like, which dowey will laugh about from time to time with the other captains.
