I will not die with the riches I acquire, but rather the memories of those I met, and the adventures I shared with them. If the world you perceive feels more real than your own existence, it is an illusion. 

Here is why:

Your body’s senses perceive themselves and a world. You perceive your body’s senses. 

The senses you perceive are not the world. The senses you perceive are the body. 

Regardless of whether you believe the world being shown is real or not, the reality is that the world being experienced is not the world. It is only ever consciousness. 

Therefore if this world feels big and you feel like a small disconnected piece, it is an illusion. 

To quote the Ashtavakra Gita: “You alone fill the universe.”

Take a moment to stop looking through your senses and instead look at them. 

Know them to be consciousness alone.
