Threads of Fate Legacy Challenge
okay here it goes… I’m releasing my first ever legacy challenge that I thought would never happen lol. I firstly wanted to create this challenge to give myself a path on where to begin, to find love & enjoyment for this game again...for those who will be giving my legacy a chance to shine thank you for your support please tag me on tumblr or youtube! #threadoffatelegacy or #tof I cannot wait to see what you do!
Summary: Threads of Fate is a 10 generation legacy challenge where every life is shaped by the one before it, weaving together a story of chaos, growth, and transformation. Each generation carries the weight of its family’s past whether through inherited struggles, emotional wounds, or unfulfilled dreams you must decide whether your sims will follow that path or break free from it. Through a balance of structured goals and randomized elements, your Sims are pushed into dramatic relationships, difficult choices, and life-altering moments. A spin-the-wheel system introduces unexpected twists, ensuring that no two legacies unfold the same way. Control is never fully yours fate always has a hand in the outcome!!!
Threads of Fate Wheel (must spin 1-3x per sim week, you can skip if you can’t do the tasks but if you can and want to forcefully skip, you must face the punishment wheel)
Thread of Punishment Wheel (must spin 1-2x, and face punishments)
Threads of Fate Legacy Page (checklist included)
Threads of Fate Legacy Calendar

✧ Tales of Reverie 3.0 ✧
The Tales of Reverie Legacy Challenge is a generational challenge that includes equal parts wholesomeness and drama. Each heir has a story to follow, with a set amount of goals to complete over their lifetime, as well as a major lifetime event (or several) that will determine the trajectory of their lives. With the structured endings feature your choices will shape the future for generations to come.
This challenge is in the process of being revamped, meaning generations are undergoing re-writes, cuts, and re-ordering, with the addition of several brand NEW generations to come.
The 3.0 version hosts a variety of new features, fixes from version 2.0, and an updated generation structure.
✧ ✧ ✧
How It Works
Complete all goals, and the major life event—a crucial moment that defines your heir's journey.
Follow the structured endings to determine how your story concludes—every choice you make leaves a lasting impact that will shape the future.
Each heir’s life is predetermined by their predecessor’s choices—their inheritance, traits, lifestyles, and fears depend on their parents’ successes and failures.
✧ ✧ ✧
Find the challenge document HERE.
If you would prefer to stick with the previous version you can find it here.
✧ ✧ ✧
Note: I would love official challenge graphics for each gen, but as of right now I don't have the time or patience, and don't think it's necessary until more gens are written. So this will come in a very distant future update. Until then, all generation info is available on the google doc.

Feel free to @ me or use the tag #TS4TalesOfReverie for your posts, gallery sims, and gameplay. I love seeing all your shenanigans and simmies!
Somewhere They Belong is a gameplay-focused legacy challenge centered around storytelling, relationships, and slowly building a world across generations ♡
I made a legacy challenge for people who don’t like strict rules.
Instead of completing checklists, you build your world through gameplay — adding places, relationships, and stories as your Sims live their lives.
I haven’t really come across a challenge that focuses on building a save file this way (but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong). I’ve seen similar ideas — like the Origins Legacy by rosannatxt — but I wanted something more open, where the world grows naturally through one household, over generations.
So I decided to create my own version and share it.
Each generation focuses on a different lifestyle and perspective, helping you shape your save file over time.
It’s not about perfection or difficulty — it’s about creating a world that grows with you.
Read the full challenge here:
♡ Introduction & Rules
If you have any ideas, suggestions, or ways you’d play this challenge differently, feel free to share — I’d love to see how others interpret it. ♡
HOT TEA LEGACY CHALLENGE (Graphics) If you’re looking for a way to spice up your gameplay in The Sims 4, let me introduce you to one of my current obsessions: the Hot Tea Legacy Challenge ☕✨
This challenge created by @lxdice, brings a fresh, aesthetic, and drama-filled twist to the traditional legacy challenges you may be used to. To make the experience even more fun (and visually easier for me), I decided to create my own set of graphics for the challenge
Of course, full credit for the Hot Tea Legacy Challenge goes to @lxdice, who came up with this amazing concept. I just added my own creative touch with the graphics! If you would like to support me please feel free to subscribe to me on youtube

The Games We Play: A TS4 Legacy by @Cyazurai/sappychan
Have you ever really given much thought to the fact that there are hundreds of genres and subgenres of just about every medium out there? Movies, books, video games, music, etc. Whatever it is, there are so many different types it’s almost overwhelming.
Well, I have. I’ve thought about this extensively. And about how to incorporate it into TS4 - specifically, a legacy. I’ve also written a CAS challenge based on a similar concept, but it, frankly, doesn’t translate as well into a CAS challenge as it does into a legacy challenge. So, I finally worked up the mental power to put together what I’ve been wanting to do forever.
And that’s how we end up here, with The Games We Play Legacy.
The generations are based on 20 different big, popular genres. They are not all required, you can mix and match, play which ones you want - after all, we’re not all necessarily fans of the same genres of games. Along with the 20 generations, there are also 40+ subgenres that you will roll for (potentially more by the time you read this, I’m not going to update this number every time I add a new subgenre), that will add new elements to each generation to make them completely new every time you play. The subgenres are not optional.
If you play this and want to share it, please tag it with #TGWPLegacy or #TheGamesWePlayLegacy so I can find it!
General Rules
First things first, this is a legacy. Legacies are generational. So if you’re looking for something you can complete with one sim, this isn’t the challenge you’re looking for.
Before you make a sim, decide how you want to play the legacy. Stay with the generations the way they are, randomize them, pick and choose, play them in order from your favorite genre to your least favorite, however you want to do it, just pick before you create your sim.
Once you’ve picked your first generation, spin the wheel for your subgenre(s). You will do this for every generation, and you might get the same subgenre multiple generations in a row. You can either choose to reroll a repeat subgenre, or keep it. It’s your choice if you want to repeat things you’ve done before.
Each generation is based on a big, popular genre, and has a general outline, with a goal and things to complete. The subgenres will add additional requirements for each generation to complete, that will make each playthrough of the challenge completely different.
Everything in each generation must be completed in order to move on to the next generation; subgenre goals included.
Each generation also has a different branch of that specific genre to choose between; for example, Survival will have things like Winter Survival, or Zombie survival.
Optional: Name every generation after character(s) you like from that genre! For example: Ryley for survival (Subnautica), Abigail for farming sim (Stardew Valley), etc. It adds a bit of extra fun to have a name theme.
Complete all of the generations’ main goals, and subgenre goals, before you move on to the next generation. If your sim dies before they finish their requirements, feel free to either move on to the next generation, resurrect your sim as a playable ghost to finish, or finish the goals as their spouse. However you want to do it.
No cheats, preferably!
You can play on whichever age span you prefer, but I recommend normal or some MCCC altered version of normal.
This challenge is designed for those with all packs. Including packs I don’t own, myself. Please feel free to change up the generations however you need to to fit with the packs you don’t own.
If you play with custom aspirations, and have one you think will fit a certain generation better than what I have listed, feel free to substitute it!
Before your founder/current heir has children, roll your subgenre(s) for the next generation to see if there will be specific requirements for who is eligible for heir. This will be something you need to pay attention to.
Some generations will involve occults, aliens, or supernatural elements. If you want realism, feel free not to include these generations or subgenres.
I will probably keep continually updating this challenge as new packs come out, and as I test the challenge and see what works and what doesn’t. Ya know?

Hi Simmers! This is my second legacy challenge called the Sims Townie Legacy Challenge
The 25th anniversary of the Sims series and the re-release of the Sims and Sims 2 inspired me to create this legacy. Throughout the years the iconic townies and family's lore has made the game so special. With so many timelines for characters such as Bella Goth or the Landgraabs I combined all versions of these Townies for each generation, as well as added some fan favorites from the Sims 3 & 4. Use hashtag #STLC or #SimsTownieLegacy if you decide to play! Happy Simming :)

This is a legacy challenge created by @lxdice, originally for TS4 - I had a read through the generations and watched her LP and thought the gameplay sounded so fun and I couldn’t help myself but want to adapt it to TS3!
I’ve kept the storylines mostly the same, just adapted the challenge goals to suit TS3 gameplay, I also tweaked some of the titles as I like the option of having an heir be whatever gender I want - up to you if you wanna use my new titles or lxdice’s original ones :)
For some of the gens, there will be a list of mod / CC suggestions, if you don’t play with mods / CC then I’ve also listed mod-free adaptations to the rules to keep it vanilla-friendly if you’d rather :)
Feel free to swap out traits, LTWs and goals to something you can do with the packs you own. Some generations are more wholesome than others. Some are filled with drama!
Feel free to tag me (@simspaghetti on tumblr) and/or @lxdice on Tumblr, YouTube or Twitter, or use #TS3HotTea and/or #HotTeaLegacy (TS4 Tag) if you try this out, love to see how your gameplay goes ❤️
View the Challenge on Google Docs Here
I reccomend reading it on docs, so you can tick-off things as you go, BUT you can also view it under the cut...
This legacy is based on the same one by @sweetlysimss who very graciously gave me permission to try my hand at converting the challenge for TS3. It's not perfect but I tried my best to stick to the original rules and try and make it fun!
Tag: #nsbxbpr should be fine still or @ me if you do try this out!
Rules:
This challenge can be played with vanilla, banilla, or berry sims
As per the challenges this is based on, the romance options are a mix between those in the BPR or NSB, allowing you to choose which you’d like (or mix them up if you wish!)
There is an optional generational challenge to paint/take a photo of your heir for every generation
The generational requirements do not need to be strictly followed/can be changed as you see fit - the important thing is to have fun!
The Sims 3: Barbie Legacy Challenge!
this has been sitting in my drafts for a while but i think im ready to post it!! obviously based on @sims-himbo's ts4 challenge i just changed all the traits, lifetime wishes, skills, etc. to be sims 3 compatible. i fused the base game list and the original version so now it's 13 Generations with 8 bonus gens instead of 10 plus the 4 optional/bonus gens.
I have not tested this so please lmk if there's anything that can be changed to make gameplay better/more fun!!
please consider using the #ts3 barbie legacy and #sims barbie legacy (original) tags! i'd love to see your barbies <3
General Rules:
All heirs must be female and named Barbie/Barbara
freerealestate or motherlode may only be used when establishing your first gen family
Required Expansion Packs: (let me know if I missed any!!!)
Pets, Island Paradise, Generations, Showtime, University Life, Ambitions, Late Night
Optional Expansion Packs:
Supernatural, Into the Future

How to use DXVK with The Sims 3
Have you seen this post about using DXVK by Criisolate? But felt intimidated by the sheer mass of facts and information?
@desiree-uk and I compiled a guide and the configuration file to make your life easier. It focuses on players not using the EA App, but it might work for those just the same. It’s definitely worth a try.
Adding this to your game installation will result in a better RAM usage. So your game is less likely to give you Error 12 or crash due to RAM issues. It does NOT give a huge performance boost, but more stability and allows for higher graphics settings in game.
The full guide behind the cut. Let me know if you also would like it as PDF.
Happy simming!
Thank you so much for this detailed post😭❤️It's hard for me to summarize everything and explain them clearly since I'm that good at English. This post will be much more helpful to those who want to improve their game performance with DXVK.
I'm like hey, what's up, hello
We're baaaaaack!✨
In honor of the new pack, hellohopesims and fruitysimsy present: the Struck By Love Legacy💞
ETA 25.JUL.2024: GEN 10 IS HERE! We had a few requests for a version of generation 10 that doesn't include new items from the pack, and while we usually would just say "Use your best judgement," ...We did it for you anyway ;) We hope you guys enjoy!
The general rules are the same as always, (find them here, and the Fruity Legacy here) and don't forget to have fun!
use the tag #struckbylovelegacy to #showusyoursims!
We're around if you have any questions/concerns/comments!! If you need help swapping a trait you don't have out for one you do, feel free to reach out, too!
I hope you have as much fun with this one as you did the fruity legacy <3 xx, Hay + Hope

Hobbies and sub-hobbies
I've been working on implementing a sub-hobby system in my game recently and really enjoying it! I took a look at the different activities available for different hobbies and came up with my list, which I thought I'd share here.
I do have some mods that change the hobby enthusiasm of some objects, or add new ones - I'll link where applicable.
I don't assign these based on any system, just vibes. I usually stick with whatever hobby the game assigns, but I do sometimes change them if it really feels like it doesn't fit to me. The sub-hobbies are intended to be a main focus, but Sims can and will still try other aspects of their overall hobby, and other hobbies altogether sometimes too!
The list is a work in progress but I'm basically happy with it now.
Edited: I found a version of the punching bag that gives fitness enthusiasm instead of sports, and that activity makes more sense to me as a fitness thing, so I moved that sub-hobby over.
Edited x2: Combined a couple gaming subhobbies into "Social Games" and added MyShuno to that category.
