« I had the opportunity to experience an incredible practice, it's called Shibari, and I share my experience so that if you ever get the opportunity, fears and prejudices don't cause you to pass up the chance to have this experience.
(...) It is an experimental connection between your body, mind, energy and that of the person tying you up, with which I found it important to establish a bond of trust and connection.
With blindfolded eyes all senses were activated, after a few seconds of joint breathing with Alexandre, he began to intertwine ropes to my body, in a comfortable position where each knot helped to elongate a part of the body (…) Near the beginning, sometimes I felt fear or a lack of control, but overcame these emotions through meditation, surrender and as the rigger guided my movements, and providing support and protection.
(…) a sensation of freedom that I had never experienced without being tied. Alexandre provoked continuous movements that made me feel like we were dancing, manipulated my body gently and I only had to give up my weight, let myself go and concentrate on my meditation. Then he would untie the ropes to try another position with my body (…) The session ended with a time of rest lying down, lowering all the sensations experienced: fear, vertigo, fun, softness, relaxation, laughter, love, lightness, pleasure…
Today I slept all day, found my body deeply relaxed and my thoughts at peace, cherishing the territory that is our body, understanding that there are people in the world wanting to offer it well-being, opposing the destruction, looting and oppression proposed by our society to the bodies. That impel us to live deep experiences barely knowing each other.
Thank you again Alexandre 🙂 » (full text)
