@alexthe-great
I was trained to look devastating, obviously.

San Gimignanno Tuscany Italy
With its multitude of towers sticking out against the horizon, San Gimignano is one of the most iconic and recognizable destinations in Tuscany. In every corner of the world, there lives someone with a dream to visit this ancient village and to feel the experience of stepping into a perfect Medieval postcard. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990, San Gimignano, also called the “Manhattan of the Middle Ages,” owes its fame to the incredible quantity of towers that rose above the rooftops of the small town, as many as 65 during the days of the town’s heyday. Thirteen of those splendid towers make up a distinctly unique skyline today.

It’s nice to have this little digital time capsule. I haven’t signed on in probably two years or more. Tumblr reminds me of when I was single and douchey and full of as much energy as myself. But it’s still sentimental to look back at the bad old days.
Here’s me, peak-tumblr, at 25. And me now, at 32. Some things change. Some things don’t. I’m heavier. Softer. My contacts aren’t comfortable, so I only wear them to work out. I don’t have to furrow my brow to see the wrinkles, and I pretty much only wear black. I still haven’t stopped buying watches and shoes. My days are still spent as a designer, just in a very different way now than I’d imagined for myself then.
I’m married, but not to the woman I thought I’d be married to. Our house is perfect, and we’re fortunate to be here to ride out this pandemic. Cooper is still here, too. He is still perfect.
I’ve been a lot more places. I’ve got different friends. But I still kind of hate myself a lot of days, and the anxiety hasn’t gone away. I just handle it better. Sometimes.
Aging is hard. I’m not sure if I’m better now than I was then, or if I’m exactly the same. Regardlrss, it’s nice to have this little, digital time capsule.
