Good day at Mozarthaus Vienna. Always a pleasure.

Day two in Budapest, Hungary...feeling all sorts of happy. #roomwithoutaroof #alfinemilano
Barely making a dent in my work load. Cigarettes and caffe...ain't helping with my other loads either. #finalsconstipation
Doing as I always do...cramming hard for my first final. Attended 3 of the 11 lectures this semester for this course. At least I'm entertained. #whenIwasHeather #benemarketing
Warm milk with honey. Tis' the season of finals.
retail therapy
Cruised on over to Corso di Porta Ticinese on my first NO CLASS MONDAY back in Milan. Desperately needed this week of rest back home after globetrotting nonstop for the fall break. My remedy of hitting up the bars was not bene for my flu, so decided on some retail therapy. (Kids, alcohol doesn't kill germs.)
First stop... SERENDEEPITY
Corso di Porta Ticinese 100 Milano, Italy Tel. 02 89400420
Dropped in for some beats. A Lou Reed record was screaming my name, but opted in for two CDs instead. 1. Netherworld - Over the Summit (Oldies/Electronica) € 5 2. Emily Loizeau - Pays Sauvage (World SALES) €5
Second stop... MAURO LEONE SCARPI
Corso di Porta Ticinese 103 Milano, Italy http://www.mauroleone.com
Great selection of ballet flats as well as boots and heels! Made in Italy and standard good quality as always! Grazie italians..
Had a hard time finding my infant shoe size, but couldn't resist a pair of ankle boots. #thicksocks
Third stop... LO SPECCHIO DI ALICE
Corso di Porta Ticinese, 64, Milan 02 837 8969
Vintage closet with tons of Doc Martens and range of clothing and accessories. Secondhand shop...but it's still Milano. Made it rain euros for a new army coat and Air Docs. I may not be as lucky as Alice getting out of the hole she climbed into if I go for a round two.
Pfffffft...was a bit naive thinking a weekend in Milan would be me saving some euros... JOKES. Fighting the guilt by justifying that I really do need...my new Air Docs, ankle boots, and winter coat to survive the rest of this bloody winter. NEED.
21
There comes a time...when a girl becomes a woman. I ain't talking about puberty.
It seems oddly appropriate that my 21st birthday marks my one month anniversary of being abroad. A philosopher once said that life can only be understood backward, but lived forward. Yet, thinking back to my what-is-now 21 years (#whatislife), I start to feel a bit queer. Time is a fickle thing and numbers are arbitrary (said the marketing major). Like the art piece I took a snap of at the Museo del Novecento, I am asking myself: What the meow is going on? 21?
I love when my mozo tells the stories of how me and my siblings were all born. Oddly enough, I am fascinated by how we enter the world as people already...with not only our toes and phalanges, but with a mind bravely trying to make sense of a strange new world.
I was delivered two days late between the wee hours of midnight and three AM. Made my mum labor it out, as I was hella comfortable in my familiar surrounding snuggled inside her womb. Even today, I am always fashionably late and my best work happens after the clock strikes midnight. I say I love change, but sometimes I bloody hate it. Like when I entered this world, I find myself feeling like an infant again...but this time, growing into a woman that I am brave enough to be.
This art display caught my attention because honestly...it can mean anything. My train of thought that it may be making a statement about turning 21 may be completely rubbish. Similar to turning 21 in Europe where 15 year olds can drink shots better than me, trying to answer the age old question "What is life?" may be rubbish as well.
Before I shut up, I want to say this: Thinking back...
Grazie for all the love I have received from my familia and fwiends, the failures I have had to swallow, and the people who make today worth 365 days more.
Looking forward...
I better get some shut eye for Oktoberfest in Munich with my favorite Germans Marie and Felix. #redteamftw Bring it world, I feel braver than ever at 21.
So let me rephrase:
When a girl becomes a woman... it's time to fry some shit + drink BIRRA (lots of it).
Fried chicken, zucchini, and onion rangs with parmesan-chive mashed potaters... No better way to start off the birthday weekend.
For share and tell, my favorite birthday video for the other babies of the world born on this day. Better believe it Jeremih...its better than birthday sex. Dedicated to the people who made it all happen...my loving parents.
Arrivederci! xoxo
HUR DID
Finding an italian stallion is easier said than done, especially if you cannot speak the lang. Good thing I got body language and a new cut. #twerk
For you entertainment.
PRIMA
Saying arrivederci to my long hair. Santa Marie delle Grazie, Milano Italy.
DOPO
Blurry selfie in my apartment at Arco.
Though cutting off half my mane seems a bit counterproductive to my MRS degree. Guess that plan was a bit winded to begin with. At least, I have healthy HUR for the first time in two years. Ciao motherfucking ciao blonde locks.
If you find yourself in this urban jungle, crawl into TONI & GUY. My purse strings have been a bit lubricated lately, so I signed up as a "model" at the salon academy with one of their students. Got my hur did for FREE. All in all, it was bellissimo and my student was a bella! Plus, si parla inglese!

Jamming to keep my insomnia some company. Never was a fan of time zone differences. I blame the Doctor. Buonanotte mio amico.
da capo al fine
Italian-English From the beginning... to the end.
Luckily, my unfruitful years of playing piano taught me that trick without having to whip out my Google Translate. I've been here in Milano just long enough that it actually feels like home. Time and space have zoomed past me this last month...seeing, eating, and doing things that are familiar, yet strange.
Scusami...my chronic lateness & being on Italian time is a bit dangerous for me, resulting in my first update a mes into my time here. Yet, life (like music) is composed of fragments and memories strung together creating something to be shared with the world. There's my excuse, just needed some time before I can share anything for those interested in hollering. There was a lot of sound and fury before I flew here, coming to my very own land of milk and honey, Milan. My new home until December is the return to the beginning, yet a journey towards the end of a chapter in my life.
So mio amico, grazie mille for listening to my song.
Shot of the sky on my first night on my walk back to Arco. It's good to know that we are all under one sky, eh.
Disclaimer: If you have ever survived a conversation with me in real life, you know that I do not make sense most of the time. Introducing...MY ITAL-ENGLISH from yours truly. Bear with me. CIAO CIAO xox
