"You fucker—" Patience is long lost and Jay doesn’t hesitate to punch the other male as he approaches him, irritation growing within seconds, getting him ragging, anger flickering in dark hues as he spits on the ground, shaking his head from side to side. It is rushed and people are staring. After all, a fight in the middle of the street is not approaciated, neither welcomed.
Jay hisses, taking a long step forward as he pushes the male, sudden scream almost deafening him with the male losing his balance, collapsing on the ground, in between the chairs in the outdoor cafe. The female’s voice is pitched, surprise sprawling across her features as she barely managed to step back, almost hit by the tall man. Jay gasps quietly. He does never want strangers to be involved in his personal fights. It is simply unnecessary. Usually, he leaves without any explanation, yet once his eyes meet the woman’s stare, still full of confusion, spark of anxiety flickering in her orbs, thin arms embracing her own little frame. He suddenly loses it. The urge to brush her off and not apologize.
"Are— you okay?" The tone of his voice is not polite, neither laced with concern, even though he wishes to seem at least a bit apologetic. "I didn’t mean to scare you."
Alice could feel her pulse beating upon her ears, blocking out all background noises except for the breath that was raggedly moving in and out of her suddenly dry lips. Each puff of her warmth spilled at irregular, gasping intervals. It wasn't every day she'd see something so unfamiliar-- something so foreign before her eyes. It was a dreaded event that no individual, at least in general, would be looking forward to. Because now, she was involved.
She couldn't help the brief, pitched scream that heedlessly ripped through her throat. It was the kind of scream anyone would be embarrassed about-- but it couldn't be helped. She was easily caught off guard. They were a mere pair of eyes, yet had grasped more than enough anger for even her thoughts to enter the dark corners of her mind. The stranger captured her gaze as Alice kept still, unable to feel anything-- Unable to see anything except for the latter whose words seem to be directed at her. She felt completely numb. Alice was unable to break the gaze; The connection had to be held. The more she stared, the more color had drained from her already pale features. She was never the type to fancy the adrenaline one experiences upon being pushed out of their comfort zone-- but then again, fate has never been a good friend towards the petite woman. It was almost as if it enjoyed pushing her over her limits.
"I-- I swear I didn't see anything. R-Really!" Her current state was unable to disguise her evident fear as her voice shook along with her slim hands. "I'm just on my way home-- Have a good day, sir." Dipping her head multiple times, the only thing that was lurking along her mind was the instinct of going straight to report it-- Albeit not exactly knowing who to turn to, she knew it was the right thing to do.
