No CSM Tuesday effects finally hit me, so today I will propose theories of why *I think* relationship between Yoshida, Denji, and Asa would have significant impact in the future (in short, they will be a some sort of trio).
Source? I have no source. This post absolutely has no valid basis. Just me and my feelings, my own delulus, my own mess. It's all just in my head. And I decided to do an insane amount of reaching and stretching to the point I and my friends start to question my own sanity.
Let's just say... I have contract with Fanfiction Devil. All these theories below are the waste products of my contract (I sold half of my soul and sanity). So I hope you guys didn't take this as leaks or valid predictions or something. This is purely my own madness (even if it doesn't happen, I still have that Fanfiction Devil contract, I could fix them).
So, what are those "YoshiDenAsa trio will happen" theories? Well, allow me to elaborate further then. Please buckle up your seat and prepare your ibuprofens because this journey will be a long and confusing one.
#1 - Animals and Habitats Representation Theory
Asa's last name, Mitaka (三鷹) literally means Three Hawks. Asa represent bird, the sky. Just like how hawk observes from the sky before attempting a strike, that's what Asa's narratives roles *I think* would be. She's meant to be an observant at first before surprise attack. We've seen that before and I think we will see more of it as I believe she would become stronger as the time goes.
Denji's devil heart represent dog, the land. It's 100% obvious that Pochita is treated as a dog, there's no doubt. And just like that, it also represent Denji's roles in the narratives. The thing is, Denji is not an ordinary dog no more, he's the feral ones. To control and to "tame" him now will be no easy task as his previous owner who successfully "claim" him (Makima) is already dead.
(Hawks could pick up and eat dogs btw, just like how Yoru in the past could defeat Chainsaw Man so many times before her fall. It does fit the narratives when we think about it hard enough)
And lastly... Yoshida, he represent octopus, the sea. Just like how octopus is solitary animal, both of them said to prefer living alone. Octopus is also very smart, and could camouflage to its surrounding. Which suit very well with common Yoshida's character interpretation that's usually interpret him as this very mysterious knowledgeful being.
However the truth is, Yoshida is a human, just like the rest. And octopus is just a part of bigger animal kingdom, just like the dog and the bird. Now we just wait until that little octopus get tired of pretending to be a dog (to Public Safety) and finally break free, like many of "octopus jail break" cases in real life.
In conclusion, I think these three different animals symbolism will be connected to each other somehow in some way. It's too much of a coincidences for it to just be a mere coincidences and not Fujimoto's writing choices IMO.
#2 - Three Horsemen × Three Birds Theory
As you can see in this poorly written image, this theory will try to debunk the connection between Yoshida, Denji, and Asa with their respective Horsemen Devils counterpart.
"Why are you so sure that three birds imagery will be very important?"
"Mi" in "Mitaka" means three. Asa is the new main character, her name have symbolism just like how Denji's name come from Tenshi (Angel). Also we already get introduced to three Horsemen Devils who will deliver major impact in this part.
It's a messy dots right now BUT when you try to connect it, things started to make more sense. So, about their connections to their respective Horsemen Devil counterpart/parallel...
Asa is connected to Yoru (she literally use Asa's body as her vessel), the War Devil. Just like how she has constant war within herself and with society as a teenage girl. War Devil fits Asa so much.
Denji is connected to Makima and Nayuta, the Control Devil. Because he's very persistent to keep fighting for his freedom over people who try to abuse him and control him in his entire life.
Yoshida is connected to AND supposedly opposes Kiga/Fami, the Famine Devil. His last name, Yoshida (吉田) literally means "Lucky Ricefield" (and rice is the most common staple food in Asia). He's really built and made to oppose her. Though he did shows signs of social starvation.
Back to three birds imagery. If we read the same manga, you'll notice how birds is used a lot in part 2 and also used by Makima to keep an eye to her surroundings and her enemies (remember Katana Man Arc).
It's hard for me to come up with paragraphs of explanation so I will just show you this image on how I connected the dots.
++ Bonus delusions: Chapter 99 is titled "Two Birds", probably to reference both Asa and Yoru. But the three birds imagery there still bother me. To the point, I think it's actually for Yoshida. So by "Two Birds", it's maybe means Yoshida and Asa rather than Yoru and Asa (or them three, YoshiAsaYoru because it looks very deliberate to have double meanings (the three birds is not for YoshiAsaYuko sadly🥲)).
In conclusion, three birds symbolism in part two IMO stand for three human (Asa, Denji, Yoshida) and three horsemen (War, Control, Famine). I'm very positive that their 2x3 groupies will have deeper meaning and connection in the future.
#3 - Chapters Title Theory
Now we come to the last theory I have for YoshiDenAsa trio possibilities. I can't put image in this section because I already hit the limit so let's use our imagination a little bit.
This one is kinda fanfic-esque and I did the most of my far stretching here so I recommend you to drink that ibuprofen you brought right now before entering this insanity trip.
First, let's take a look for where Yoshida, Asa, and Denji are in the same chapter:
- Chapter 104 with title "Spoiler"
- Chapter 109 with title "The Easy Way to Stop Bullying"
- Chapter 114 with title "Endless Aquarium"
- Chapter 115 with title "High Schoolers These Days"
- Chapter 117 with title "Penguin and Weapon"
- Chapter 120 with title "Triangle"
- Chapter 121 with title "Theory of Happiness"
- Chapter 132 with title "Protection"
Second, let's take another look to which chapter where their interractions to each other was the main focus:
- Chapter 104 with title "Spoiler"
- Chapter 115 with title "Highschoolers These Days"
- Chapter 120 with title "Triangle"
This is actually a signs for their weird love interest triangle. Trust me. Hear me out. There's something more in these chapters title, I just know it. Based on what? My feelings. Maybe it will be like how chapter 102 ("Save The Cat") was a foreshadowing for chapter 127 ("Save The Asa").
I just could feel it in my soul. These chapters title will be more relevant in the future. TRUST.
That's all for now. Big thanks to my moots @mimsynotpog for encouraging me to write this LOL. Anyway, I'm always open for discussion! Lemme know your thoughts on this one!
Do you guys think Yoshida, Denji, and Asa trio is possible? The answer is obvious big YES from me. We still have time. We're just 30+ chapters in! I won't lose hope yet!
#CSM213 : The more Yoshida manipulated Denji, the more sincere their bond became.
I'm not going to analyze Yoshida's death by saying that it was obvious Denji would turn into Pochita (a sign of great despair), on the pretext that they had been close from the beginning and SHAAAME ON YOUUU for not seeing it !!!!!!
No. The whole chapter is designed to surprise the reader and upset their perception of their relationship.
Let's go back to the bear theory taught to Yoshida by his teacher: everyone must stay in their own zone to avoid hostility and victims.
This is exactly what Yoshida tried to apply at all times: interacting with Denji while maintaining a cautious neutrality, a veil, strands of hair in front of his eyes.
I like to think of Yoshida as an inkblot: elusive, you never know what he's doing there. You expect him to do something decisive, something incredible, but he always goes against the grain, never where you expect him to be. Whose side is he really on? Denji's? The demon hunters'? With Fami? His strength lies in this obscurity born of his obsessive neutrality: by refusing to fully enter one side, he ends up treading on neither.
This attitude stems from his teacher's lesson: don't venture into the bear's territory. For Yoshida, this means never really bonding with anyone, always putting the mission first. This is how the demon hunter Yoshida acts.
But what Fujimoto explores in part 2 is precisely how, behind this mask of indifference, the teenager tries to express himself despite everything.
Yes, Yoshida manipulated Denji, he is not trustworthy, and these are not the aspects that the story seeks to rehabilitate. What is disturbing about this chapter is something else: Yoshida's obsession with understanding Denji.
Denji functions as his opposite. Where Yoshida restrains and neutralizes himself, Denji acts instinctively, guided by his emotions, even if it means losing everything. He does indeed lose everything, but in this loss he embodies a total freedom that eludes Yoshida.
Denji is so free that he does not limit himself to the single choice that Yoshida wanted to impose on him: he takes two paths at once. He is free to the point of eating cake with his hands and not giving in to Yoshida's ridiculous blackmail about using forks.
Denji acts with the carefree vulnerability and sincere, if foolish, naivety of adolescence—traits that Yoshida has lost. Whereas Yoshida fully embraces social constraints to the point of becoming an elusive character, Denji refuses to be confined and asserts clear and recognizable characteristics.
Furthermore, Denji does not easily trust men, and certainly not a mysterious “handsome guy” like Yoshida. But despite everything, Yoshida was another teenager he saw regularly, a recurring presence in his life.
This is where the power of his desperate reaction lies: despite Yoshida's efforts to remain neutral and distant, Denji saw him as a close friend. Yoshida, who wanted to maintain a barrier, ultimately revealed a connection.
His last pizza meal with Denji illustrates this: Yoshida was intended to be a trigger, not only because of the explosion that would follow, but because his death would cause Denji to break down, allowing Pochita to emerge.
And when Barem burns Yoshida's body, the fire paradoxically symbolizes dreams with the theme of the fire demon: even in the chaos, a dream existed, that of having shared this interaction.
But what Fujimoto emphasizes is that calculations, plans, and manipulations ultimately matter little. Why should Denji despair at losing a neutral, indifferent demon hunter whom he only encountered in premeditated scenarios designed to manipulate him ?
Because it wasn't just Denji's adolescence and naivety that were exploited: Yoshida's were too.
Despite the artificial setting and the pretense, a genuine bond eventually formed. For a sacrifice to have meaning, this relationship had to become sincere, and it did.
Beneath the complexity of the circumstances, what remains is overwhelmingly simple: true friendship.
Oh. “The memories should’ve been shown!” No. They’re Yoshida’s and Denji’s memories. Not Chainsaw Man’s in OR out of universe. They’re not the devil’s. They’re not the manga’s. They’re not OUR memories. Why would we get access to them? Why do we deserve to see them?

Chapter 207 prediction. If I see that scary ass twink again I will personally punt kick him into a grave before he ever reaches adulthood (no shade tho)
now that i think about it, csm part 2 is basically taking the story beats of csm part 1 and retelling them through a different lens
the Nostradamus prophecy is the same Ncguffin as the Gun Devil mission- "Fami" devil and PS both wish to eliminate the death devil, and Aki and PS both wish to eliminate the gun devil. then there's a twist- "Fami" is the real Death Devil, and the true villain is (going to be) Yoru, and the Gun Devil was contracted by the American President to eliminate the true villain, the Control Devil, Makima
Denji's morals and coping mechanism are brought up again, with him "moving on" from Nayuta's death with his motto that life is worth living as long as he has food to eat and women to lust over, the same way he "moved on" from Aki and Power's deaths. and his coping mechanism of "ignore the horrible and focus on the fun"
and his favoritism with saving women than men is brought up again but shown in a more toxic(?) light, with having him telling Asa to ignore the imending doom brought by Yoru, and him getting pissed when Yoru kills a woman in front of him
Fumiko is either a parallel or a foil of so many different characters-
Aki- their parents died because of the gun devil. except Aki goes after the direct perpetrator of his family's death and Fumiko goes after the person who couldn't save hers, Aki has good morals while Fumiko lacks them
Himeno- both of them assault minors both of them are corruptive characters, Himeno's a personal corruption (giving Aki cigarettes, almost having sex with Denji), while Fumiko's a public corruption (is the spokesman for Aging Devil's kid-killing contract). Himeno also desired to leave PS while Fumiko proudly works as a PS dog
Power- both of them share the same cowardice (where they run away from a fight because they were scared) and their desire to be on the winning side, and they have similar levels of sadism?
Asa- Asa hates fish/Fumiko loves sushi, Asa wants to save CSM because he saved her/Fumiko wants to "save" CSM because she and her organization want to exploit his powers, Asa said that nobody wants to fuck CSM/Fumiko said "who wouldn't want to fuck CSM?"
Yoshida- She's the opposite of who Yoshida is, like how she's cruel to Denji for fun, doesn't hesitate with her orders from PS like him, etc
Some of the things that happen to Asa also happens to Aki- Asa and Aki both lose their families because of a devil, both keep up a cold and harsh exterior to protect themselves from getting hurt again, both of them desire connection, both of them lose their arms and get possessed by war-related concepts (Aki by the Gun Devil, and Asa by the War Devil)
there's more to this, but for now i'll stop here, i might make a pt2 to this when i remember more
Please listen carefully Please listen carefully🙏 I need you to read this..🥹
On the seventh of October I am teacher Mahmoud Atta. I work as a teacher teaching secondary school students.
On October 7th, I was getting ready to go to school. On October 7th, while I was getting ready to go to school, my life was completely turned upside down. Israel declared war on Gaza. After that, they announced their entry into the roads and cities and forced us to leave the city from Khan Yunis to Rafah
.
We passed through a road called the Road of Death. Tanks were everywhere. Bullets were raining down. We passed through a road called the Road of Death. Tanks were everywhere. Bullets were raining down. If you survived, your brother would not.
We've all seen the end of the world movies on the big screen. We have all seen end of the world movies on cinema screens, but what we saw was real and not imaginary. I wish it was imaginary.
We finally arrived in Rafah Finally we arrived in Rafah, the safe city as it is called, but where to go? The sea is behind us, the weather is freezing, and the borders are closed with Egypt on the other side and Israel on the third and fourth sides. I found myself making a tent out of nylon for myself and my family.
No water, no electricity, no food, no place to go to the bathroom, no life. I wish I had died sooner.
We returned after a long time to our city. After a long time, we returned to our city. The first sight was that a giant monster had entered the city and left it in ruins, so much so that I did not recognize my house or my neighborhood. Oh my God, is this Khan Yunis?
