I genuinely liked the Supergirl movie. I read the comic it's loosely based on, and I think the movie version addressed some issues I had with the comic in a lot of great ways (so sorry to the horse, but thank goodness there is no horse in the movie).
I think my biggest critique is that the movie didn't really drive home everything Kara went through on Argo. The comic does an amazing (and heartbreaking) job showing how hard it was for her (and she was just a kid!).
And yeah, Lobo wasn't really needed, but he didn't ruin the movie for me; he was fine.
Ya'll should go see it.

Katniss and Peeta's feast in the cave comes with silverware and plates. I always found this odd- it seemed as if it would have inflated the cost frivolously. I figured it had something to do with standards in the captiol, especially with how Effie remarks about table manners on the train.

I loved Kali. I related to her (and Jane) a lot having dealt with ab*se in my own life.
Whenever someone would hate on her, call her useless, or unnecessary, it cut me deep because I saw myself in her, having to start over again and again and deal with the fallout of what I went through. She was never any of those terrible things.
She was brave, protective, loyal, and thoughtful. She was hurting, sad, and lost.
Lost Sister is one of my favorite episodes, having lost communication with my own sisters related to the ab*se I endured at the hands of others. I waited for her return since and was in tears when I saw her in season 5, tears of joy.
I cried so many tears for her tonight. She lost all who loved her, was hated on by those around her, but she still chose to be that protective sister in the end to give someone else a chance she was never given.
When I think of butterflies, I'll think of Kali and all the others that didn't survive ab*se. She mattered, they mattered.
And if you're one of those people, please don't give up, your life matters.

its pretty obvious most people who hate kali are just racist
its okay to dislike a character/ their writing but while she is just existing and literally being truthful to eleven because she doesnt see any other way... shes lost hope and shes just really depressed and people use that against her
but when billy, a racist who tried running over a group of kids and tried his best to target lucas, a black kid, when his sister was seen with him because he dindt want her talking with black people people excuse that behavior and say that he was just traumatized... when kali was also traumatized??? but apparently it cannot be excused when its a woman with dark skin! only if its an attractive white guy.

Do you ever wonder if the reason why less people were able to locate El is because Kali was actively killing off the people that stole them? Because I do.
