Favourite Cast Friendships: Alison Brie + Joel McHale (Community)
The season opener of Season 3 was just an okay episode … and it may be similar to what mine is, the Season 4 opener. Our seasons did tend to start off a little slow. So, I’m trying not to beat myself up too much over that. I think the Season 4 opener compares about the same to the Season 3 opener [with] the show coming back, trying to announce its presence in a big way, trying things that are a little too ambitious, a little frantic, but mostly entertaining people. I think that’s probably fair to say of the Season 4 opener.
Andrew Bobrow, long-time Community writer, on the transition into season four.
He pretty much confirms with this article what I’ve been saying for the past few weeks.

Favourite Annie Outfits: Season 3
One of the things that set this cast apart in seasons past was how easily they could shift into different tones, genres and performing styles. It always seemed that [Alison] Brie, for instance, was giving the same performance as Annie no matter the episode, yet it seemed effortless how she could play Annie in a broad comic mode, in a more buttoned-down or emotional style, or even as a plausible Old West gunslinger in one of the paintball episodes. For the first time this season, you can see Brie and her co-stars start to sweat as they try to make the material work, like a strange Annie story in the Inspector Spacetime episode that has her on her own for far too long.
