A party invitation (Kyle and Tal Halloween event, closed rp)
She nodded her head and ran off, one of the guards must have one right? She came back as soon as she could and handed it too him, well, after dumping the packed meal first. she watched him, sitting in front of him and waiting.Ā āIām sorry.āĀ
He grabbed the brown paper bag immediately. Covering half his face with the bag, he blew in and out, repeating the action until he felt the tightness in his chest released a bit. It wasnāt his inhaler, but itāll do for now.
He glanced from the bag to the girl and frowned.Ā āWhy?āĀ
She didn't really want to answer that. "You...i..." She furrowed her brows trying to figure the words. "I didn't want you to feel forced to do anything, and...I'm sorry I got you hurt."
She pulled her knees up and watched him falling quiet again.
She stared up at him and blushed, for once in her short life⦠she blushed. She hid her face against him, squeezing him slightly.
āYou can have it, the room⦠I want you to stay,ā she said into his chest.
It was an end to her loneliness, and the first friend she truly made, her heart was beating fast, she didnāt know why, she didnāt know if she liked it, this feeling in her face and gut. But she hoped she could figure it out.
āYou want anything else? Iāll get you anything,ā she said excitedly as she looked up at him quickly, eyes shining brightly with her excitement.
Daniel just laughed as his eyes caught hers. Grip on the dragon loosening, his hands caught hers and he pulled her along⦠walking backwards through the alley still and onto the sidewalk. Her hands seemed so small but she was warm, trying to keep up with his gait considering he was so much taller. āI donāt need much⦠and you havenāt eaten yet, have you?ā
His hand brushed against the locket but his gaze didnāt linger on it. He wasnāt too worried currently, he had Talās eyes on him and it had been such a long time since heād had⦠whatever this was.Ā āLetās get some food in you, okay?ā
She smiled and nodded her head as she sped up to keep up with him. āI am hungry,ā she nodded holding onto him.
āShould I look more normal? I donāt think I have anything in the fridgeā¦.ā She tilted her head to the side.
āReally?ā He continued walking down the sidewalk backwards, looking over his shoulder every so often so as he didnāt walk into, or more accurately, through anything.Ā āYes, letās pull off āhumanā for a bit. We can go grocery shopping together then? I mean⦠even if I canāt eat, I can help with that.ā
Tal tilted her head slightly. āLike, hunting?ā She asked. āI can get a sheep, or a pig, a big pig.ā She grinned her tail wagging slightly before she realized it had popped out and she put it back away.
āI⦠I havenāt done anything⦠normal on my own⦠this is the first time Iām fending for myself. Um, Iām not sure what to do or what I need⦠what do I need to go shopping?ā
The ghost stopped them for a second, they were at the entrance of the Agency housing complex now anyway and he dropped her hands. Scratching his neck he thought for a moment, looking off into the street.Ā āUmm⦠nothing really besides some money? Iām not exactly sure how far the nearest shop is but we can manage together and get on the bus.ā The ghost leaned back, rocking on his feet and sliding his hands in his coat pockets. An eyebrow raising he leaned in to give her a look at her hunting comment.Ā āUm, no⦠no whole pigs or anything like that. I canāt cook it all even if you can eat it.āĀ He exhaled, laughing halfway that he even had to say that.
She nodded her head then took his hand and lead him to her apartment. She opened the door, and walked up the many stairs and then through her door.
She let go of his hand and went digging though the cabinets and drawers. Eventually she found a small stack of money and handed it to Daniel.
"This will be enough?"
A party invitation (Kyle and Tal Halloween event, closed rp)
Tal came to a walking stop as she had heard him in the distance, she turned she had wanted to keep going, but then she heard something fall and she jogged back. She went down and helped him up.
āIām sorry.ā She said as she pulled him up, then sat him down against the wall. She looked him in the face, she felt horrible, he looked bad.
āHow do I help?ā
He was helped up, braced against the wall. The absense of the mask helped, but it was still difficult to breathe. He tried breathing in and out, just like he was taught. Clenching his eyes, he could feel the sting of the sweat that hit his pupil. He wiped at his eyes and heaved.Ā
Glancing up, he huffed and waved his hand in dismissal. āJust⦠s-stop running⦠dammit. This,ā he motioned at himself in between gasps,Ā āItāll go awayā¦ā He clenched his eyes again and heaved, shaking his head.Ā āO-Okay. P-Paper bag. I. Need.ā
She nodded her head and ran off, one of the guards must have one right? She came back as soon as she could and handed it too him, well, after dumping the packed meal first. she watched him, sitting in front of him and waiting.Ā āIām sorry.āĀ
Lonely Souls - Jin and Tal
As Tal settled, Jin nestled into her. Normally, she would have wanted a blanket but the dragon put out enough warmth that it was unnecessary. āGet some sleep, little one,ā she said softly.
She nodded her head again and then yawned, snuggling down and then closing her eyes and falling asleep
She stared up at him and blushed, for once in her short life⦠she blushed. She hid her face against him, squeezing him slightly.
āYou can have it, the room⦠I want you to stay,ā she said into his chest.

"I...I haven't done anything...normal or on my own....this is the first time I'm fending for myself, I'm not sure what to do or what I need....what do I need to go shopping?"
Event || Uninvited.
the dragon nodded.Ā āwell, nice meeting you, i should go, find daniel, see when he wants to go home.ā she smiled trying to excuse herself.Ā
āYes.ā she smiled āYou should go do that. It was a pleasure little one.ā she began to turn from the dragon. āI have no doubt our paths will cross again.ā
The dragon nodded, and walked off.
(End)
Lonely Souls - Jin and Tal
Jin ran a hand up and down the dragonās back and shook her head.Ā āNo, Sarnai.Ā You arenāt bad.Ā You arenāt mean, either.Ā You and Daniel had fun while he was around, right?Ā Maybe he just got lost or he met someone, just wanted to have fun?Ā There are so many different reasons, Iām sure it doesnāt have to do with them not liking you, little one.āĀ As she spoke, her voice was soft, easy.Ā She snuggled the dragon and laid down, the foxās back facing the rest of the room and pulling Tal into her, tangling herself with her.
āItāll be okay,ā she murmured, āit will all be okay, you will see.ā
the dragon nodded her head into the foxās chest, but her tears continued to fall. it was childish she knew, but everything was just so new to her, and this feeling was not one she enjoyed. or even wanted to feel again. she pulled herself closer to Jin if that was even possible.Ā
ābutā¦what if..if itās not?ā she asked softly, voice still shaking from her crying.Ā
Jin cupped the dragonās cheek, shaking her head softly then pulling forward, her lips pressing against the dragonās.Ā It was a gesture that wasnāt meant to be romantic or lustful but soft and chaste, the intention comfort.Ā
Then weāll handle it together,ā she said when she pulled back.Ā āIāll always be here for you, Tallon.Ā I promise you that.ā
She blinked at the kiss. But she smiled and nodded her head "okay," she smiled. "Thank you."
She rested against Jin and closed her eyes.

she stopped, and stared at him, her own anger dissipating and being replaced by confusion then hurt.
āyou really think that little of me?ā she asked.Ā āthat i wouldnāt care about what you had to say?ā she wouldnāt look at him, and turned her head off to the side. she didnāt need to have him see her so hurt. no one should see a dragon cry.Ā
She took in a deep breath and kept walking, slowly, but she picked up the pace, and was soon running off to find the stairs. This was a bad idea.Ā
He flinched like he had been burned. He didnāt need to hear the words to feel the crushed look the girl was harboring on her face.Ā āThatās not what I mean- hey!ā He gritted as he cursed inwardly.Ā
He reached out only to miss the girlās hand when she turned and began to run.Ā āHey! Stop running!ā He shouted with his hands cupped around his mouth.Ā āShit,ā he growled before picking up his pace, running after the girl. He kept shouting after the girl, wincing as the camera around his neck slammed into his chest with every bump.
āStop i-ā He gasped when he felt his chest constricted, his hands flew out to brace himself as he dropped to the floor, hard. He reached up and took off his mask with shaking hands and heaved, trying to suck in deep breaths.Ā āStopā¦ā
Tal came to a walking stop as she had heard him in the distance, she turned she had wanted to keep going, but then she heard something fall and she jogged back. She went down and helped him up.
"I'm sorry." She said as she pulled him up, then sat him down against the wall. She looked him in the face, she felt horrible, he looked bad.

Event || Uninvited.
Tal refused to talk about the age, she really didnāt want to get into that, this woman clearly did not know about dragons.Ā āMaybe i will run into your freind.ā
She hummed āPerhaps. She is a shy little one.ā She said matter of factly before peering down at her watch.
the dragon nodded.Ā āwell, nice meeting you, i should go, find daniel, see when he wants to go home.ā she smiled trying to excuse herself.Ā

Event || Homecoming || Open
He shuffled the costumeās mask closer to his chest so he was clutching it, looking between the other two as they talked past him.Ā āYeah, it wonāt be if itās that stressful if I can help it. Iām sure we can just have some fun⦠promise that too.ā He smiled thenĀ his mouth turned into a line. Just, these two actually talking was nice, but the first things they jumped to⦠Talās past. He knew enough to know it was rough and tried to give a sympathetic look although the mood was spiraling between the other two.
āIām sorry Tal. If you ever want to go looking⦠Iād help.ā He looked at Phoenix again, talking to both of them and changing the topic.Ā āSoā¦. Itās halloween tonight. Youāre in a bunny suit. My costume is another ghost. This guy didnāt even know there was a party. I donāt see this happening again so we should get photos done?ā He looked at the two expectantly.
( @carrier-ofsouls )
Phoenixās mouth was in a thin line. āHome is where you make it.ā he said somberly āDonāt let could have beens or the past tie you down.ā he said with an honest knowing full wellĀ that he was being hypocritical. He himself was consumed with his past. With his heartbreak and death. That though was the curse of being a reaper. No one who wants to die wants to be reborn.
Phoenix was pulled from his thoughts by the ghost. āA photo?ā his eyebrow raised. He had never had one taken of him before. He never had a reason. āI have never been photographed.ā the reaper relayed his thoughts āI might break the camera.ā he joked with a stone face.
@alittleblackdragon
Tal would have argued, she wanted to, because she didnāt think that was what she had meant, but then daniel spoke up, and she smiled at him.Ā āIād like that...help finding them again, maybe if i could find where my tribe was last i could track them...but...that was...far too long for the trail to still be there...ā she sighed then shook her head, Daniel was trying to cheer her up, and she wouldn'tā be brought down, at least for him...sheāll try, she didnāt want to see her friend look sad or be worried.Ā āpictures....yes, lets take a picture!ā she clapped her hands. she looked at the reaper and tilted her head slightly to the side.Ā āHow would you break it?ā
A party invitation (Kyle and Tal Halloween event, closed rp)
She frowned and put her hands down. āIf you didnāt wanna come you could have left!ā She yelled frustrated and upset. She thought this was going to be fun, but it has only gotten worse.
Kyle watched the girlās facial movement, frowning at the clear sightly of anger and frustration presented on her face. His frown deepened at the way her eyes narrowed with anger and all he did was huff in response.Ā āI didnāt say I didnāt want to come!ā He snapped.Ā āBut knowing that youāre the one with the horns and fire, I didnāt think I have much of a say in this!ā He spoke with anger, or what he hoped was anger as his hands moved frantically in front of him. He didnāt actually meant what he was saying, but the girl was starting to drive him nuts and well⦠it was never good.
she stopped, and stared at him, her own anger dissipating and being replaced by confusion then hurt.
āyou really think that little of me?ā she asked.Ā āthat i wouldnāt care about what you had to say?ā she wouldnāt look at him, and turned her head off to the side. she didnāt need to have him see her so hurt. no one should see a dragon cry.Ā
She took in a deep breath and kept walking, slowly, but she picked up the pace, and was soon running off to find the stairs. This was a bad idea.Ā
She shuffled her feet. āIām glad I met you.ā She started pulling him into a hug. āI didnāt have anyone⦠but Jin⦠but sheās always gone⦠so⦠I was selfish and kept you.ā
Daniel slumped against her hug, he knew he probably didnāt weigh much, but for all it was worth the hug was everything. He mumbled a noise as he slouched against her, grumbling but his eyes closed. Heād already touched her but still this sense of intimacy with another person, or dragon⦠it made him feel like he was still alive or elsewhere.Ā
He forgot for a moment the previous days of them getting introduced. He forgot for a moment how nervous, upset he was and where he was. His appearance became clearly tangible again, almost human and he hugged her back, still slightly stiff at the unexpectedness of it still. He wasnāt used to this yet, but he guess she was just like this. It wasnāt a bad thing.
āI⦠what was I⦠talking about.ā He mumbled, a small smile breaking at himself, the situation.Ā āIām not upset that you found me. Iām actually happy. I think.ā He patted her shoulder, still realizing just how much taller he was.Ā āI⦠donāt know anyone else whoād want me⦠as much as you do if thatās the case.ā His eyes trailed off again around the alley, flickering from trash to the wall. He understood on some level. The selfishness. The want to keep someone close and he sighed, patting her again.
Tal smiled up at him, and nodded, she rested her head on him and sucked in a breath. āYou arenāt mad?ā She asked it softly. She didnāt know what else to say⦠she still felt so bad for taking him, and keeping him.
Danielās mouth turned to a line, and he bit his lower lip. Standing there with Tal against him, he patted her on the back lightly and his attention turned to her fully.Ā āN-no. Iām not sure what to feel yet⦠but Iām definitely not upset with⦠whatever this is. Or whatever it is you want for now.āĀ
Close interactions like this, they made him a bit nervous but he was calm. Any or all anger about his fate was waning and honestly, if this dragon was what fate had in store for him⦠some of the worry slipped away for some reason. He could see it recede⦠mentally slip back like a curtain being drawn and Daniel patted Tal again. Looking at her with an awkward half-smile he scratched a finger across the bridge of his nose before letting his hand fall.
She gave him one more hug, and pressed her face into his chest, āIām glad⦠you arenāt mad at me,ā she said softly. She didnāt know what she wanted, not being alone was one thing, revenge on mankind another⦠but Daniel seemed to be soft, easy to make cry, easy to hurt. She would keep him safe. Yes, that was what she wanted, to keep him safe.
āWhat now?ā
He wrapped his arms around the shorter girl, rocking her slightly and walking back a step with her in his arms like that. His look softening he sighed again as a breeze blew through the alley. āYou have an extra room I saw and itās not like I need that much space if you donāt mind and⦠I donāt know. Thereās just so much to be mad at, not counting you. Youāre the one good thing thatās happened to me so far.ā
There was a pause and the wind died down. Sunlight shone through the alley now, through Danielās form which was hazy in the light even despite his touch being solid. He looked down at the dragon. āI guess I was just too upset to see itā¦ā The ghosts hand rose, finger circling for a second idly then pointing at the locket.Ā āIāve⦠never let anyone hold that willingly outside of one person.ā His eyes flickered with sadness for a second then a smile crossed his face. āIā¦Ā I can stay with you if you want.ā
She stared up at him and blushed, for once in her short life⦠she blushed. She hid her face against him, squeezing him slightly.
āYou can have it, the room⦠I want you to stay,ā she said into his chest.

Greedy Dragons || Tal, Daniel
She tugged on him, pulling him closer to her then she rested her head on him. āThank you,ā she whispered. She closed her eyes and wrapped around the ghost, finding comfort in him for the time being.
Daniel blinked heavily. It was the first thing he noticed was off as he felt the girlās arms tighten, wrap around his middle. She was still halfway transformed, tail curled around herself and he sighed, defeated yet not upset for some reason. He inched over as she pulled him farther onto the bed. Now he was leaning against her bedpost comfortably, head hanging slightly as he watched her. He blinked again before his eyes shut and blew a strand of orange hair off his face.Ā
Since when⦠had he felt⦠so tired. He looked at the dragon, leaning more slightly to the side, eyes heavy as he nodded off. Was it being close to her that was effecting him like this? This felt⦠nice.
Tal had dozed back off, the ghost, though not warm like a living person, provided her with enough to make her relax and drift off. her tail uncurled from around her and wings folded away. she snuggled against him now, giving him a slight squeeze as she slept. she would not have another nightmare.Ā
