Okay. So I realize this morning that I'm a bit of a drama queen. My husband sees my hair and says, um. It looks exactly the same. It's just...shaped. Like you said you wanted. I was ready to wring his neck--until I saw the before and after pics below. I think I was just in scissor shock last night because the guy had to cut a LOT of hair off. I had three years of split ends and damage up there. My head just felt so light, I couldn't imagine it looked okay. My big HUGE damaged hair had become a security blanket. I still wish the front was longer. But all in all, I have the beginnings of **exactly** what I wanted. It may take a few weeks of growing out to feel settled. But I woke up like DIS today. No braiding last night. No Morning'froregretsia. I declare #OperationShapedFro a success. Special shout out to my former student @terrencechapman who told me to "knock it off and look in the mirror again." That's exactly what I did and he was right.
