#NowPlaying All We Got (feat. Kanye West & Chicago Children's Choir) by Chance The Rapper
you loved flowers and I’ll always remember that because you were a flower yourself. The beauty you have has roots that no other garden could hold. You planted something inside my soul the second you came along. Daily you would water those feelings and they only grew strong and blossomed quicker. Losing you was as if someone drove an 18 wheeler over every flower that my heart has finally grew out for you. Some have died, majority stayed in tact. As badly as I would love to just pick them out and let them die on their own, I can’t. I can’t let them die.

When your daughter asks you if she’s pretty, looking like the universe is weighing down her little bones with insecurity, resist the urge to say “Ofcourse, darling, Ofcourse you are.” Tell her instead: “Everyday, I bless the stars that fell apart to allow your body’s embers to glow to come to life.” Tell her instead: “In the 7 billion that exist on this planet you are the only one of your kind.” Tell her instead: “You are so much more than pretty. The stars that gave you to me made you to be like the sun. You are their best ever masterpiece. You aren’t pretty. You are inspiring.”
