"Are you sure?" Looking back up, he frowned. "Do you need anything? Do you wanna lay down? Are you hungry?"

"Teddy, I’m alright. I’m energetic. I feel good. I’m not tired or sick. Just take a deep breath."

Standing carefully, he gave his mom's stomach one last pat and nodded. "Well, if you need anything, I'll go get it- right now, even."

Teddy angled himself carefully, still convinced if he hugged his mom too tight, he’d crush the baby. “I haven’t told Dad, or Pops yet..” Kneeling down, he placed a hand on her stomach. “That didn’t hurt, right?” It was hard to tell whether he was talking to her or the baby at this point.

"I got the job- with the Hartford firm!" He was told it was a long shot. Students were generally only accepted as interns and assistants. "You’re looking at the newest junior partner at Hartford Architectural firm."
