A Mouse Tale

It's 4:10 am. 

I forgot I had a research paper due tomorrow, so now, I'm here. 

I'm wearing my new night gown though, so that's a plus. And then. A mouse. 

I see it.  It sees me.  (Keeping it gender neutral because you don't know, ya know.  And also because that's what my paper is on, so why not.) I'm overcome with a sense of "awww, so cute" and "ewww, get out of my room." I creep down the hallway to grab the mouse trap and sacrifice some of my sacred trader joes cookie butter in hopes of catching it.  

My attempts fail.  

Now it is just walking around my room looking at me.  It's like it knows what it's doing.

Welp.  Guess I'm not sleeping tonight.
