Allo culture is the pain of wanting someone who doesn't want you back but you still want them to be happy even if it's with someone else but like at the same time wanting to fight that other person too <3

(More vent ish) allo / allospec culture is being tired of when people use being repulsed by romance and/or sex to be romance negative and/or sex negative and act like being alloromantic and/or allosexual is inherently messed up

You're so right about that. As someone who was raised in very strict purity culture, and a bigoted religious one, the last thing I want to hear is that my bisexuality is gross or weird or makes me a freak.

While being Alloallo is considered the default, that doesn't mean it's always accepted or embraced. I wasn't allowed to talk to boys until I moved out. I was told sex was wrong and sinful and that I should save myself for Jesus.

Not to make this about me, I just wanted to give some examples of how sex/romance negativity exists in the real world. We don't need to see it online too.

So much fucking bigotry in the alloallo tags. You know as a bisexual/biromantic, I've heard a lot of times that I'm not normal! Usually from conservative bigots! So maybe think about that.

(Apl is not always 'I said no to sexual, romantic, AND platonic attraction' for someone and I as an allosexual aroapl don't often see our experiences discussed, especially compared to how often alloromantic and allorose apl experiences are discussed)

Being allo allo aplatonic culture is being made to feel like an asshole or creep for only being interested in people sexually/romantically. Sorry but some of us don't need friends.
