Stranger Things 2 co-creator Matt Duffer reveals opening scene was inspired by The Dark Knight!

We were definitely going for [a Dark Knight vibe]. Some of this stuff happens subconsciously, so I’m sure, yeah, we were ripping off Chris Nolan. Some of it was deliberately. We put on movie music when we write — I know I wrote that [scene] to The Dark Knight score or The Matrix, one or the other. But we love that kind of film, and we don’t usually get to explore that kind of vibe or tone on the show, so I think that’s really why we did it.

Sophie Turner has signed up as both star and producer for Girl Who Fell From the Sky, a survival drama about a girl whose plane to Peru was struck by lightning and led her to the Amazon. The film is adapted from Juliane Koepcke’s When I Fell From the Sky, both penned and directed by Stan Brooks.

Disney has unveiled the entire cast for 2019′s The Lion King, including Donald Glover, Beyoncé and more. The film is set to come out on July 19, 2019.

As reported, Disney will be taking advantage of the profits made by its franchises, requiring from theatres a 65 percent of Star Wars: The Last Jedi ticket sales, as well as a condition that the film be shown in the large auditorium for a minimum of five weeks. It is therefore understandable that plenty of theatres will have to avoid screening the film, not only due to financial reasons, but also owing to their space being too limited to commit to a 5-week schedule of the same movie. In other news, another new international poster for the film has now been unveiled.
