Something I did on the big day while waiting for the Pokémon Presents announcements. Pikachu was my mother’s favourite Pokémon before her passing, so of all the possible creatures I choose the mascot to celebrate this milestone. Everyone has their own wonderful memories tied to this franchise, so I hope you also all enjoy it in your own special ways.

People in the mid-1990's saw the most gorgeous pixel art ever seen in video games to this very day and decided no I think Balls 3D-esque shit looks better than this.

Red Earth (Warzard) came out in 1996, The King of Fighters '97 was...1997, and while most criticism of early 3D graphics now is posited in contrast with how 3D games look *now*, my main point of derision will always be that they supplanted 2D games when the latter reached its apex. Other than the raw scale of 3D environments in some action-adventure titles I've literally never been as impressed with the best looking 3D games as I have 2D ones.
