me reconnecting with shifting after anything bad happens in this reality

Guys, this is a reminder that shifting is not supposed to feel like a chore. Shifting is effortless. You don't have to lay down for hours without moving. You can roll over and just go to sleep. You can do nothing and shift. You can do anything and shift.
how i feel scripting my drs — ꪆ୧
The Brain’s Natural Ability to Shift Realities
Shifting is easy because it taps into the brain’s natural ability to exist across different realities. The brain is highly adaptable due to neuroplasticity, allowing it to rewire itself and form new neural pathways. When you visualize your Desired Reality (DR), your brain activates networks like the default mode network (DMN), which governs imagination and daydreaming, making the experience feel as real as a memory. This activates your episodic memory systems, creating simulations of experiences that feel tangible.
The reticular activating system (RAS) also plays a key role. It filters and prioritizes relevant information, so when you focus your intention on your DR, your brain tunes into that reality, shifting your awareness there.
The most powerful part of shifting, though, is that the brain doesn’t have to force anything. It already knows how to move between realities. It’s a natural function of the mind to adjust focus and intention, making the process of shifting feel effortless. By simply engaging with your DR, you’re allowing your brain to do what it already knows how to do: move between different realities, seamlessly and without resistance.
How To Let Go
First things first; drop the idea that reading this will magically make you shift. If you’re here thinking “Oh, I’ll read this, I’ll let go, and then I’ll shift” stop! right! there! I know you want to shift, I know you want to get your desire, but you are missing the whole point of why you want to let go in the first place!
Second if all; there’s no one way to let go because there’s no one thing you’re letting go of. And that’s where most people trip up. You hear it everywhere:
”Just let go!”
“Release!”
“Detach!”
Like it’s some effortless switch you can flip on command regardless of how your unique mind works 😑
And then when you can’t, you start to feel like a failure, like you cannot accomplish this very basic thing that everyone seems to be doing so effortlessly.
Well my darling, listen to me: this is not your fault. You not being able to let go has nothing to do with how capable you are, how lucky you are, or how “primed” your mind is. None of that.
The mind fixates. That’s what it does. If shifting is a huge desire for you, you don’t just drop it overnight. If your DR is playing on a loop in your head, of course you’re going to latch onto it. If every time you go to bed, you secretly hope to wake up in your DR, your brain is still holding on. And yeah, it sucks. Because suddenly your dedication feels like a burden. You start asking “Why can’t I just let go? What’s wrong with me?”
Been there, felt that.
I’m going to tell you exactly why letting go is something anyone can do, and how you can start immediately—without the mental stress that usually comes with it.
But first, let’s clear something up: Letting go is not a quick fix for shifting. It’s not some miracle pill that guarantees success. For some people, yes, letting go is the missing piece. But for others, the real problem isn’t that they need to let go—it’s that they need trust and patience in themselves. And because they’ve been told that “letting go” is the thing to do, they beat themselves up for not being able to do it. When in reality, they were fine all along.
So first of all, figure out if letting go is what you actually need in your journey. If it's not, and you suddenly remember that you’ve found success while holding on, great! If not, let's move on.
So, what does “letting go” actually mean?
A lot of people hear it and think it means quitting, cutting shifting out of their lives, turning away from their DR, walking away completely. And yeah, that is one way to let go. But it’s not the only way. Let’s break it down the different ways there are to let go:
• Letting go of trying to shift – A.K.A what I talked about in this post. You still think of your DR, you still daydream, maybe you meditate at night with no intention to shift, you go about it like you already have it because you do. Stop it. Stop trying to shift.
• Letting go of expectation – You keep doing your methods, you stick to your routine, but you drop the pressure. No more “when will it happen?” You do it just because you enjoy it. You stop putting a deadline on shifting. You let go of when it will happen and just let it unfold.
• Letting go of your DR – You still shift, but you step back from your DR itself. Maybe you try a different DR for fun, maybe you explore WRs or fun, relaxing realities. You turn your focus elsewhere.
• Letting go of shifting itself – You stay in tune with expanding your awareness, but you do this by focusing on lucid dreaming, astral projection, or any other practice for a while. You take the pressure off shifting entirely by trying something new.
• The ‘fuck this shit’ mentality – You throw your hands up and stop giving a damn. Ironically, this one works better than you’d think.
• Letting go of perfection – You don’t need to do everything perfectly, follow every method flawlessly, or maintain some imagined “high vibrational state” 24/7. Stop striving for an ideal and just exist.
• Letting go of comparison – Stop looking at other people who claim to have shifted and measuring yourself against them. Their journey is not yours, and comparison only fuels frustration. Can you imagine driving your car, on the way to go pick up your brand new sport’s car, but you keep looking out the window because someone in the next lane is already driving a sport’s car?? YOU’RE GOING TO CRASH. EYES ON THE ROAD.
• Letting go of guilt – If you feel bad for not shifting yet, for wanting a break, or for feeling stuck, release that guilt. You don’t owe shifting anything. Shifting is you. You don’t owe yourself anything other than peace, trust and love.
• Letting go of attachment to results – Focus on the process rather than the outcome. Enjoy the journey, the experiences, and the growth that come with it. This is the thing I wish I knew at the very start of my journey, not because it would have made me shift faster, but because in hindsight, there’s so much fun in figuring out what works for you, discovering yourself, and the excitement pre-shifting to your DR.
• Letting go of fear – Fear of failure, fear of missing out, fear of doing something wrong, fear of shifting (which warrants another post in itself). Releasing fear allows for a more open, relaxed mindset.
• Letting go of overthinking and self-doubt – Stop analyzing every little thought, feeling, or experience. Your mind doesn’t need to be in constant problem-solving mode. You already know how to shift. You already have your desire/ your desire will manifest in the 3D. You are a creator. You are the god of your reality. If overthinking and stressing out solved anything, no one in the world would have problems.
• Letting go of rules – There are no strict guidelines for shifting. You don’t have to follow what someone else says. Make your own path.
But how do you actually let go?
When you let go, you do so from one of three places: peace, exhaustion, or indifference. To truly let go, you need to lean into one of these.
1. Peace – If what your mind craves is peace, you let go by accepting that your desires are either already yours or inevitably coming. You trust your ability to create and shift, so you stop chasing and start relaxing. Letting go from this state means stepping back, breathing easy, and knowing there’s nothing more you need to do—just be.
"Oh, easier said than done!" Yeah, that’s why we have the next two.
2. Exhaustion – If you’ve reached the point where you’re just tired, use it. Letting go through exhaustion means recognizing that you physically and mentally can’t keep stressing over this anymore. You’ve burned yourself out, and the only thing left to do is stop. Stop trying so hard, stop overthinking, stop forcing. Let yourself collapse into that exhaustion and let go because you have no energy left to hold on.
3. Indifference – This is the "fuck it" approach. Letting go through indifference means deciding that you simply do not care anymore—about shifting, about waiting, about the whole damn thing. Not in a bitter way, not in a frustrated way, just… whatever. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, you’ll be fine. You’ve got a life to live, and you’re not about to waste it worrying over something that isn’t here yet.
No matter which one you lean into, the result is the same: freedom. You stop gripping so tightly. You stop making shifting feel like a desperate struggle. And in that space—wherever you land—letting go happens naturally.
There’s no right or wrong way to let go
Think of it as a spectrum. You let go at your own pace, in a way that feels right for you. Because here’s the truth—holding onto your DR, staying in the cycle of frustration, it hurts. But it’s also comfortable. It’s familiar. And the mind loves familiarity.
Everyone has something different they need to let go of. For some, it’s their attachment to results. For others, it’s the pressure to be perfect. Maybe it’s the need to control the process or the fear of what happens if they succeed. Letting go isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution/It’s about recognizing what is keeping you stuck and unhappy, and making the conscious choice to release it.
So, instead of forcing yourself to drown in the ocean of your desire, because you thought throwing youself in would force yourself to know how to shift, just grab a floatie. You already know how to swim. You just have to remember, and until you do, relax and let go.
how do you induce emotion / feel like your in your dr? maybe inducing isn’t the right word but how do you feel feelings when shifting?
There are so many ways to do this! Like listening to music, a song that sparks a memory from your DR, or even an ambient soundtrack that lets you fanfic your way deep into a scenario, really sinking into the vibe of the scene. There's no right or wrong method here. I promise, something in your life right now connects you to your DR and your DR self—whether it’s a song, a specific scenario you replay in your mind, or just that one thing that makes you feel like you’re already there, pulling out those strong emotions like a magnet.
Now, there’s this visualization I love—a simple, step-by-step process (because, ADHD brain here, I live for structured steps leave me alone). I usually use it to manifest in my CR, but it’s perfect for inducing that feeling of being in your DR, too. It goes like this:
Relax. Take a few deep breaths, let your body soften, melt into your chair, your bed, wherever you are. Let the tension drain away—really let yourself sink in.
Now, pick the scene you want to drop into. Maybe it’s your first morning waking up in your DR, maybe you’re chilling with your friends, maybe you’re wrapped up with your S/O. Whatever feels right.
Once you’ve got your scene, you’re going to count from 1 to 10. But with each number, you’ll visualize something specific in that space—look around, touch your surroundings, feel the textures, the warmth, the coolness. Flex your hands, feel your body in that world. It’s about anchoring yourself in the moment, fully immersing.
Let me give you an example so it’s crystal clear.
Say I want to shift to a DR where I’m waking up in a bedroom with an ocean view and my cat curled up next to me. I’d do it like this:
“One.” *I glance up at the ceiling, watching the ceiling fan spin, I notice the little imperfections in the paint, like I’ve seen them a thousand times before*
“Two.” *I sit up, feeling the softness of the sheets against my skin. I look at the clock on my nightstand, it reads 9:03 AM in glowing red numbers*
“Three.” *I turn my head toward the window. The ocean is right there, stretching out into the horizon, the waves crashing, the sunlight beaming through the window*
“Four.” *I stretch my legs under the blanket, my cat shifts displeased beside me, purring, and I reach out to scratch behind their ears, feeling the warmth of their fur beneath my fingertips*
“Five.” *I slide out of bed, my feet touching the cool, wooden floor. I hear the faint creak of the floorboards beneath my weight*
“Six.” *I walk over to the window, press my palm against the glass. It’s warm from the sun*
“Seven.” *I glance around the room: the books stacked messily on the desk, the glow of morning light spilling over everything. I can even see the coffee mug I left out the night before because I'm an idiot*
“Eight.” *I look down and adjust my pajamas, running my hands over my body, flexing my toes*
“Nine.” *I run my fingers along the windowsill, feeling the smooth wood beneath my touch, and I think about what I'm going to do that day*
“Ten.” *I reach for my phone, gripping it in my hand, feeling its weight against my palm, before unlocking it and seeing a dozen messages from my friends*
4. Once you’ve hit ten, just sit with it. Let yourself marinate in that feeling of already being there, of already having it. You’re not reaching, you’re not chasing, it’s yours now. Feel the weight of that reality settle into your chest. How do you feel? Happy? Calm? Relieved? Whatever it is, let it flow through you. Own it. You’re not imagining anymore—you’re experiencing.
And that’s it. That’s the whole process. Simple, but powerful, trust me!
shifting is EFFORTLESS — and you’ve been doing it all along 🪸✨
. ★⋆. ࿐࿔ ✦ . . ˚ .ੈ✧̣̇˳·˖
you don’t need to force it. you don’t need to chase a specific technique.
you are already shifting — every single moment.
the only difference now? you’re becoming AWARE of it and consciously shifting to a specific reality with the INTENTION of shifting.
. ★⋆. ࿐࿔ ✦ . . ˚ .ੈ✧̣̇˳·˖
🐠✨ shifting is NOT some RARE event or a FARAWAY state you have to earn
you are SHIFTING realities CONSTANTLY. with every choice, every assumption, every moment you decide to step into a reality that aligns with that choice, with that assumption.
for EXAMPLE: when you choose to wear a skirt for the day. you’re now living in the timeline where you chose to wear that skirt today.
another EXAMPLE: if you assume everyone think you’re attractive and irresistible, and you EMBODY that confident, stunning version of yourself, you’re now living in that reality. it’s that simple.
. ★⋆. ࿐࿔ ✦ . . ˚ .ੈ✧̣̇˳·˖
🐠✨ a STUDY that shows how POWERFUL our INNER WORLD is
the kleck & strenta (1980) experiment. in it, people were told they’d have a scar applied to their face so researchers could study how facial disfigurement affects social interactions. they were shown the applied scar in a mirror, but right before the interaction, the makeup was secretly removed. so ultimately, there was NO SCAR. but the participants didn’t know that.
still, they walked into the interaction believing they were disfigured. and guess what? they later said people were rude, distant, or awkward with them. but those reactions weren’t real, they were reflecting what the participants expected to see. it’s such a wild example of how we project, filter, and bend reality based on our beliefs and assumptions.
basically, they were treated the way they thought they’d be, because that’s the LENS they were perceiving their subjective reality through. so when we talk about “reality”, we’re really talking about our individual, SUBJECTIVE INTERPRETATION of it.
it’s like a flow chart: you flow from one reality to the next just by choosing which assumptions you hold true, and which decisions you make that align with those assumptions.
. ★⋆. ࿐࿔ ✦ . . ˚ .ੈ✧̣̇˳·˖
shifting is NATURAL, because you are the chooser.
you are consciousness. you are the soul. you are the one behind the projection (i recently wrote a BLOG about this topic: 🔗 LINK HERE).
and that means shifting doesn’t come from effort, it comes from IDENTITY.
you don’t TRY to shift, you CHOOSE and EMBODY the version of you who already lives there. and the 3D? it follows. it always does.
. ★⋆. ࿐࿔ ✦ . . ˚ .ੈ✧̣̇˳·˖
so take it off the pedestal.
you don’t need to meditate for 7 hours. you don’t need the void (unless you want it). you don’t need to be perfect, emotionless, or “high vibe” 24/7.
you just need to DECIDE that it’s done.
• DECIDE who you are now.
• PERSIST in that identity.
and watch your world re-align.
. ★⋆. ࿐࿔ ✦ . . ˚ .ੈ✧̣̇˳·˖
shifting is always happening. now you get to do it on PURPOSE.
so breathe, let go of the pressure, and remind yourself:
“i’m already shifting. i always have been. i always will be. and i get to choose how.”

things that won't stop you from shifting
꒰ putting your dr on a pedestal , does not exist. it is not some glass castle suspended in the ether. it is a place like any other, as accessible as a room you haven’t walked into yet.
꒰ fantasising about your dr , does not matter. your brain is not a courtroom and you are not on trial for thought crimes. imagining a place does not exile you from it.
꒰ not knowing everything about your dr , won't impact. you do not need to be a historian of your own life. you do not need to have memorised the census records and economic structures of a world you are simply in.
꒰ being too attached to your dr , does not ruin it. urgency does not dismantle possibility. the sky does not fold in on itself every time someone desperately wants rain.
꒰ not being "calm enough" , no one is breathing monkishly through their nose 24/7. you are not required to be an unmoved river stone. people shift after a long day at work. people shift mid-existential crisis. it is not yoga, it is not meditation, it is a thing that happens when it happens.
꒰ doubting yourself from time to time , irrelevant. you do not need to pass a faith test. you do not need to be baptised in unwavering conviction. you just need to assume. doubt is a background noise, not a locked door.
꒰ external validation , unnecessary. your reality is not waiting for someone else to confirm its legitimacy. you do not need a jury of peers nodding solemnly at your experiences. this is not an academic dissertation. you do not need footnotes and sources and a professor’s approval.
꒰ "trying too hard" , not a thing. effort does not push it further away. want does not make it shy away. this is not an uncatchable fish. this is not a paradox where wanting something too much means you will never have it.
꒰ failing to shift multiple times , irrelevant. past attempts do not predict future outcomes. you are not an athlete counting losses. you are not a gambler on a losing streak. every attempt is new. every moment is unburdened by the weight of the last one.
꒰ an inconsistent sleep schedule , doesn’t matter. you are not being graded on your circadian rhythm. shifting does not belong exclusively to people with 8 hours of uninterrupted rem.
꒰ using multiple shifting methods , neutral. you are not hexing yourself by switching it up. they are not magic spells, they are just tools. they are ways to organise your approach, not laws of the universe.
꒰ shifting while sick or in pain , possible. you do not need to be in peak physical condition. you are not signing up for a marathon, you are existing. bodies exist in all states. you are allowed to exist in all states.
꒰ not “feeling close” to shifting , doesn’t mean anything. shifting is not a feeling to be unlocked. you do not need to sense it coming like a change in the weather. it does not always announce itself.
꒰ having trouble visualising , won’t stop you. not everyone sees things like a movie in their head. imagination is not just images. it’s thoughts, impressions, instincts. a blind person can shift. a person with aphantasia can shift.
꒰ not affirming constantly , does not matter. you do not need to chant like a monk or plead sweet nothings into the void 24/7.
꒰ being distracted mid-shifting attempt , not fatal. you are not required to have monk-like focus. people shift thinking about their homework. people shift thinking about dinner. people shift thinking about absolutely nothing at all.
꒰ not having a specific shifting method , does not stop you. people shift lying down. people shift sitting up. people shift standing. people shift in moving cars. you do not need a formula to do something natural.
a shifting method that *always* works for me
I've tried this method 3 times. I shifted once and had intense lucid dreams twice. Every time I do it I get crazy symptoms. This is powerful, I promise.
Preparation
It helps if you already have your DR in mind, like kind of saturate your mind with it. I like to listen to music that reminds me of it, or look at the Pinterest board i have of its aesthetic, or watch cute relationship TikToks (it makes me think of my S/o OK??).
Writing a list
I also like to write down Things I'm holding on to. Like basically elements or feelings or concepts that remind me of my DR and I'm holding on to them in my mind to anchor me. Idk how to explain, so here's my list from last night:
Today is 4/30/2025 in my CR. I will shift to my THIDP DR in a few minutes. Here’s everything I’m holding on to:
Fresh static snow
My love for Livia
Cute WLW love in general
Being immortal
Exploring hidden places and old houses
VHS filming
Dark roads at midnight
(end)
The method (everything about this is subjective, but I'm writing down exactly what I did)
Lay down on your back and don't move at all and close your eyes.
Focus on your breathing and just think about your DR and the feeling that you've shifted.
Fall asleep.
that's literally it. lmk if u try this 🤍
When shifters talk about methods that involve emotions or the environment, it often sounds like you have to feel something intense for it to work.
I used to believe that too — that I had to live and breathe my symptoms for it to "work" that they had to be exaggerated and overwhelming for shifting to happen.
But here’s the truth: shifting doesn’t need to be felt to happen.
Shifting isn’t about chasing signs. It’s not about how strongly you imagine your bedsheets changing, or how much emotion fills your chest. In fact, clinging to those feelings often just grounds you "deeper" into this reality. It can make you over-focus, doubt, and overthink.
Shifting often feels like nothing at all.
There are no overwhelming emotions you must experience to prove to yourself it’s happening.
life after discovering shifting and the loa
I lied put your clothes back on, I'm going to explain how once you start shifting it will change the course of your life forever
