Today, we honor the Tuskegee Airmen who were the first African-American military aviators in the U.S. Army Air Corps. On March 7, 1942, the first class of five pilots graduated and earned their wings. Overall, their biggest challenge throughout training was not the curriculum, rather the racial prejudice they experienced.
