Another reassuring smile, though Sam is starting to get the impression that he’s only making Adam feel patronized rather than comforted. Maybe the best course of action is to back off a little, let Adam be the one to open up on his own. Still, he pushes open the door to the cafe, propping it with his foot in an invitation to let Adam enter first.

          “yeah,  okay...”  he  shrugs  idly,  eyes  dropping  to  the  pavement.  doesn’t  bother  with  much  else,  still trying  to  focus  on  keeping  himself  breathing.  keeping  himself  from  falling  into  another  attack.  hands  get  shoved  deep  into  his  pockets  and  his  thumbs  rub  over  each  finger,  counting  and  listing  each  bone  internally.  he  doesn’t  want  to  look  like  a  lunatic,  searching  for  colors,  so  this’ll  have  to  do.  stepping  inside  where  it’s  warm  is  a  relief  and  he  near  visibly  relaxes  as  he  strides  towards  the  counter  to  order.
