POLYTRIX CUPID AU LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO (all the cupid lore in my head needed to go somewhere lmaoo)

So like. Mira, the lovergirl that she is, will constantly try and flirt with the two cupids, and it works on Rumi! Mira’s very smug as she renders Rumi a flustered mess (though Rumi would deny it).

But Zoey’s a lil harder. She seems to be too oblivious to her very obvious freaking flirting. Like no matter how unsubtle she’s being, it’s like Zoey had already removed herself from the equation - like she already thought Mira liking her would be impossible. Which is partly true.

In actuality, Zoey’s too focused on her assignment AND she doesn’t really feel love yet. She’s a cupid, cupid’s aren’t supposed to feel it at all. But she’ll get there, eventually. (She DID remove herself as a possibility for matching, which is the true part)

Something shifts when Zoey has an utterly insane idea. What if she cheated at the bet. What if she matched HERSELF with Mira?? It’s difficult to control two people’s feelings to get a perfect match, but she could control herself and make herself do what’s needed to get Mira to fall.

So Zoey’s finally flirting and she finally realises that Mira has been into her the entire time holy heck this is gonna be SO much easier than she thought it would be.

OR alt idea: Zoey still has no idea what flirting looks like when it’s aimed at her so she’s constantly going back to Rumi like “Man I’m putting my entire Zoeussy into flirting and I don’t think she realises I’m flirting with her?? She’s acting the same as she did before?” And Rumi hates her 10,000 for this because. Mira IS flirting and she makes it so damn obvious, why is Rumi the only one suffering from this??

Rumi’s simultaneously very against matching Mira with one of them (it’s against the rules! What’s gonna happen when you succeed? Would you not lose the bet if you have to leave her heartbroken the moment she’s matched??) and ALSO sososososoSO competitive and oh my gosh she’s falling behind she’s gotta find someone nope, nope, not that girl, nope, OH FRICK IT— she’ll seduce Mira herself, she’ll WIN and not catch any feelings at ALL and—

Well, she’s already failed, right? Rumi’s in love with Mira. Which goes against everything cupids are meant to be and it’s an explosion waiting to happen.

#i’m still planning out this thing but I figured I’d add a lil more for y’alls #I think eventually Zoey sees that Rumi actually IS in love with Mira and gets a lil devious with it #like. who can match Rumi with Mira first kinda thing lmaoo #though ALSO she’s like ‘oh crap that can actually happen? you actually feel something?’#and mayhaps that’s the catalyst for Zoey falling too #she never considered the possibility of her falling in love so it just never happened #but also becoming human does some things to a gal #polytrix #nothings set in stone yet I mostly just want zoerumi to be soso stupid about Mira together lmaoo #AGAIN I really can’t promise I’ll write this thing #BUT I CAN TRY!!

#polytrix #twitter seemed to like this so I figured I revive my writing blog and post it here too #I ended up deciding that the other cupid would be Zoey because I have a veryveryveryVERY stupid idea for it lmaoo #so imagine Zoey charging into the Human world without even reading Mira’s file #so she’s just matching her up with any guy available for best possible success #and Rumi HAS read Mira’s file so she SHOULD know she’s hella gay #but like #Zoey’s QUICK and instantly drags Rumi into her plans with so much rush #and Mira’s sosososo pretty that Rumi’s mind goes totally blank #so Rumi lowkey forgets that Mira’s lesbian #and Mira herself has to break it to them #anyways I’m currently planning this thing #but I reallyreally cannot promise to finish it #or post it #because my fics lowkey need to be about 90% complete before I post em #but feel free to ask me things about this au!!#I’d love to have the opportunity to yap about at least one of my fics (even if it never gets written)

Sometimes when I don't wanna edit something, I'll just cut it. It seems I'm REALLY good at slimming fics down! I'm lazy like that heheh!

Well, until I get to a shippy scene then I end up extending it to lengths beyond reason lmao

#sometimes I wish I could work a little faster #even though I think I work at a decent pace #This chapter WILL be under 10k TRUST #perhaps even 9k #When I lose the editing bug I'll go back to drafting uhhuh uhhuh #ILL SHOW YOU MY SPREADSHEET WHEN I FINISH THIS CHAPTER !!!!!

An irl friend of mine now knows FARR too much about my future Gelphie fics. I didn't MEAN to yap so much! But now she knows!
