Iām functioning. But like⦠in a haunted house kind of way.
After a long break (filled with too much screen time and not enough plot twists), Iām finally getting back into reading books againāthe kind you can hold in your hands, dog-ear the corners, and accidentally fall asleep under. No Kindles, no audiobooks, no super into sci-fi sagasājust stories that pull me in and wonāt let go.
My reading taste is a little chaotic, but in the best way. Iāll read almost anything with heart, depth, or a good twistābut I definitely lean toward horror, mystery, and true crime. If it keeps me guessing, creeps me out a little, or sends me down a rabbit hole of theories, Iām all in.
So if youāve got a book that made you cancel plans just to finish it (or double-check your locks at night š), hit me with those recs! Reblog with your faves or drop them in my inboxāIām building my TBR mountain with zero shame.
Also! If youāre on Goodreads and love silently judging other peopleās reading habits as much as I do, letās connect:

Youāve heard of ādonāt monetize your hobbiesā; get ready for "donāt master your hobbies".
Your hobbies are here to help you decompress and have fun. They do not have to be disciplines you toil over for expertise, unless that is something you genuinely enjoy doing.
Itās okay to enjoy language-learning without ever becoming fluent, or even conversational. Itās okay to like playing guitar even if you only know a few clumsy songs. You can read books and never finish them, bowl without ever scoring even halfway to perfect. Weāre here to explore and play, and we cannot do that if weāre chasing perfection in everything we do.

But somehow if I had a second chance at that moment, I would do it all over again. Because I love you, in a way you canāt understand. Maybe you never will.
