Because it was never implied that Topanga... It was always that she chose to stay with Cory because she was choosing a married life over her own independent success and that that was a good sacrifice that she wanted to make. Now it's implied, oh no, she was actually just scared to be on her own, which is a little weird. -Rider
I feel like at this point, it would be totally understandable for Feeny to feel like the first time with Yale, I think she made a choice that she thought was the best choice. This time, I feel like there's some fear involved. Maybe this is a moment where a fear of launching. -Danielle
