It’s been forever since I have been on here (438 days to be exact)! I’m trying to be more active here because Tumblr really does give me the option to “blog” more than IG and I do want to write more.
I thought I’d return by sharing being published on PhotoVogue for the first time! I know that a lot of photographers and creatives may find the goal of wanting to get a photo selected for PhotoVogue overrated and trivial, however, it has been one of my photography goals since I first started out and I am personally really happy that I have been to achieve this. To me, it symbolises the growth of my work from three years ago to today.
Placing more importance on personal goals and what will be of value to me over others, is something that I am trying to embrace. It is after all my journey and I get to decide what I’m proud of and what I want. This shoot with Carla was the first I had done in months and was much needed for my mental health. To then see the love it got on instagram and then also this, meant so much to me. Celebrate your wins, no matter what anyone else says and keep pushing! <3
