i just can’t BELIEVE this. this is the man they called “the saw guy” with distaste in their mouths. the one who they said couldn’t touch anything without it turning into a shitty franchise. and he is now going to be a member of the ACADEMY. i am just in such awe like over the years i have watched the film industry slowly but surely start to give james the respect he deserves and now we’re here!!!!!!!!!!!
was watching “The Warriors” when this name showed up in the opening credits. started laughing my ass off. decided to share.

What's your favorite trap from the franchise?
*looks at blog theme and sweats*
there are like so many ways to answer this omg
like aesthetically i think the needle pit is one of the best. a lot of people dont care for the lighting in saw 2 in general but that pissy-pus-y yellow sets a wonderfully unclean feeling to the set and the choice to cover the needles in that slime was wonderfully gross and lets be real the worst pains are the slight ones just imagine those 3 inch needles sinking into your ankle god
ahem
for best device yall know the reverse bear trap is the hottest shit. cliche answer i know but i just think its cool as fuck
and the best yet was jeff’s from saw 3 of course. i love love watching him go through all the stages of emotion and grief
like lets be real gore is one thing but emotional pain is a whole new ballpark of awesome!
ive also gotta shout out to the steam maze from 6, which, while im rather split on the film itself is in my opinion one of the cooler set ups, and the closing walls from saw 5 has me cringing every time! (im also a former strahm fangirl so theres that lol)
I probably would have enjoyed the needle pit more if someone other than my sweet angel Amanda was thrown in ;____; the cringe factor of it was perfect though. The closing walls were awesome! (Why couldn’t it have been Mark tbh) I have a huge fear of being buried alive so that was like a living nightmare for me.
I loved the breath-holding arm-ripping trap, as well. Jeff’s sequence in III was one if my favourites actually; I liked it a lot more than William’s (although, I loved the “twist” at the end of the steam maze where they found out the key was in William’s abdomen.) You can practically feel the emotional stress due to the conflict he’s going through. The pig entrails drowning was by far the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. Another one of my favourites is the publicly showcased cheater slicer thingy. Just imagining seeing something like that happen sends chills down my spine!
Lynn’s shotgun collar was pretty cool too. Saw III was one of my favourites in the franchise (I, III, V, VI, and 3-D), so I may be a little biased here. The rack and Matthews’s melting ice cube has to be up there as well, along with maybe the Venus flytrap. I LOVED the shotgun carousel too. I loved the pendulum, bathtub, blood beakers, and decapitation leashes in V.
Despite my slight disliking of IV, the pedophile eye-stabbing, limb-ripping machine was also one of my favourites. I loved the blind man and mute man trap too. Brilliant underlying concept. Also the reverse bear trap, duh.
Sorry for my rabblerabblerabble, I have no friends that like Saw irl, so when I meet another fan, I just flip out :// I love your blog btw!!
right? xavier totally deserved to be covered. and yeah no the walls were awful great i cringe every time strahms arm bones pop out god it was fucked
ive always been mixed on six personally since i didnt like it the first time around, second time was the same, third i started appreciating it more but last year when i watched it i got annoyed again lol. well just have to see how i feel about it this year.
and ew dont get me started on the judges trap that was one of the grossest thing ive ever seen and ive seen some fucked shit
lynns shotgun collar crossed my mind while answering your ask actually, shes one of my favorite characters and i just love her relationship with amanda. when it showed that bloody mess where her head was, dang did it leave an impression on my kid head for weeks! being a dumb kid at the time that movie was out really did fuel my love for the series i think
also its okay to ramble me, im usually not on this blog since i dont really get into my horror fandoms until october (yep im one of those people) but if prompted i can go on and on about this series at basically any time lol. i dont really have any horror minded friends (most are geeks, but for anime and similar) so im alway refreashed to see someone who gets the genre!

yall know there is like real people out there in this fandom that dont think adam is queer in any way and thats just such a sad and shocking thing to me
The most unrealistic part of saw was how fast Amandas hair grew back
a detective, an oncologist, and a drug addict walk into a bar…
there they meet a cancer patient
what happens next will warm your heart
