“I should have been fired!” —Kara Lindsay, watching herself do “Popular” in a Wicked Bootleg
“Monster under me bed, d’you wanna f—d’you want to go on a date or something?”
Sho Bean’s concert and the coven of Elphabas singing the battle cry legitimately brought tears to my eyes.
It was like seeing old friends and reminded me how much the show has meant for so long. I’m proud of all the women who have worn the green. The sisterhood is real.
also in the q&a karis said that one time kala (boleyn) accidentally actually said the word in the "i wouldn't be such a b*tch" line and everyone on stage was just. shaking as they tried so hard not to laugh hskdhskfh ,,,,, and kala's "uh oh" was a real one bc she was like shit what have i done 😭
I know I annoy people since I always talk about the US accents, but I do it because I’m tired of people hating on the US cast, and I bet they are tired of it too. I made a compilation of the creators and the cast explaning why the broadway cast use their accents...because apparently they have to explain themselves.
I would also like to point out that Early Modern English sounds very different from what is spoken in the UK today, so it’s not like the original West End cast was much more historically accurate than other casts, even ignoring the literal foreign queens.
Danielle Steers: I quit smoking so my voice is good...I hit an F# today.
Courtney Bowman: Excuse me, ladeh. Ya comin’ for me harmony?!
Special message from Sam Pauly
Courtney Bowman singing “Yeah, I’m that sexy”. My skin is clear. My crops are flourishing.
A Six announcement theory
1) We know it has something to do with the UK productions.
2) I don’t think it’s a cast change. Or, at least, I don’t think it’s the cast change it would have been before COVID-19. We know Courtney was possibly leaving later this summer before corona, but I do not think she’s leaving now. On her Instagram lives, she’s described herself as “only five months into [my] contract” and has sounded like she expects to be back. I don’t think she’d be this excited to announce she or any of the other girls are leaving. Nobody would want to leave on these terms. The cast has all expressed how they want to return to their jobs.
From who has retweeted and shared it and from their excitement, I think whatever it is will involve the current West End cast.
3) While I’d love a pro-shot video, the “prepare your carriages” part makes me think it will be drive-in performances. How that would work is beyond me. The thing about reopening venues is that even if the audience is safe (and distancing in their vehicles), you’re still putting the performers and back of house staff at risk as they go through rehearsals and run the show. It’s possible it’s a one-off thing, and they could test everybody involved beforehand.
I'm curious as to what the announcement is going to be. Broadway cast recording would be a good guess (I feel like we were going to get one before the virus hit), but I'm not sure about that seeing that the West End cast is excited and heavily promoting the announcement. I would also expect that teaser to have come from both the main Six account and the Six Broadway account.
Another idea would be announcing a return date or being able to release tickets. But that would be hard since theatre on both sides of the Atlantic is in a state of limbo. They could announce a tentative return, but COVID-19 may be picking back up.
Right now, I'm hoping for something completely unexpected.
Well, it’s likely something about the West End because none of the Broadway queens knew anything about it.
Andrea Macasaet’s Q&A
Andrea: Don’t come for me, but I like Hawaiian pizza.
Sam: Oh God, Andrea! No!
Britt: Nooooooo, Dre.

The fact that Andrea ACTUALLY had to make this is actually saddening. Do y’all finally understand the kind of affect your words have on these actresses?
It does bring me a little bit of joy to know that Courtney Bowman and Andrea have been talking privately and supporting each other.
Danielle and Courtney playing with ear candles, Courtney briefly commenting that it's a bad idea to light one in the dressing room, Danielle telling her she thinks it's okay, and then them almost setting the smoke detectors off (leading to Courtney having to walk around fanning smoke) has such strong Parr/Boleyn energy. Anyone know the details on Courtney Bowman's Q&A?
Then Millie trotted on forward. I was like, 'A) I'm in love with you! B) Are you leaving? Because C) I want your job. I want your little old job, babes.' [...] I kept looking at Millie. I was like, 'I can't take my eyes off of this girl. Jesus, have I got feelings?'
