Lorna crossed her arms, preparing for what might turn into a fight. She didn’t want to fight, but if she had to, this woman looked normal. And a gun wasn’t going to stop her. She was the Daughter of Magneto, after all. “You a cop too?” she asked. She sure looked like she might be one. Of course the guy had a partner. But the snark faded.
“Look, this Essex guy doesn’t give two shits about less fortunate mutants like myself and the Underground, he just has his people come to our neighborhood, ask for volunteers, and no one comes back because the money looks nice and hefty,” she admitted, “I’m just here to relieve him of some medications my people need.” she bit her lip. “He won’t miss it. I’m not taking much. Those families need it more than he does.” A pause, and Lorna looked away. “Just- don’t turn me in to that Detective Grayson guy in the main hall- I can’t go to prison again.”
Diana didn’t know what had this girl all riled up. She could sense her readiness to attack if need be- but Diana had no wish to fight. “A cop?” She raised her brows, smirking a little. “I don’t think they’d want me on the force.”
“Ahhh, you’re a mutant.” That would explain the edginess. And, maybe the green hair- though that was increasingly common amongst mortals. They really liked their bright hair. “Why don’t you walk me through it from the beginning, and if anyone tries to bother us in the meantime? I’m happy to take care of them.” It sounded like less fortunate people needed help, and Wonder Woman was not about to let that go. She was involved now.Â
“Detective Grayson?”She chuckled a little. “I don’t think he’ll be a problem.”
