SDCC BioGIFs: Jay and Silent Bob 

You won’t find anyone much busier than comedy and directing legend Kevin Smith. His partner-in-crime, Jason Mewes, has a lot going on as well. Their upcoming reboot of the Jay and Silent Bob movie, titled…well, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, is something of a miracle. Last year, when Smith had a heart attack, he revealed his biggest regret was never bringing back our favorite stoners for one more movie. He survived, thrived, and then he got his wish. Read on to hear about what this perfect pair imagines a movie just about Silent Bob would look like in a little series the folks over at Tumblr are calling SDCC BioGIFs.

If there was a biopic made about the life of Silent Bob, what would it be called?

Kevin Smith: Me and My Shadow. 

What would be the tagline?

Kevin Smith: “Friendship is an addiction.”

What’s a scene that would definitely have to be included in it?

Jason Mewes: I guess it would be him not waiting to hang out with me in the beginning because he was 40 years old and I was 13, 14. 

They say you can take someone out of New Jersey, but New Jersey will never be taken out of you. What’s the most New Jersey habit you still have?

Kevin Smith: I am a legit hostile, horrible driver. When I’m in a car it’s very competitive to me and I become an asshole.

If that’s true, then you’re the nicest asshole we know, Kevin.
