Ness winced. The sound of metal against skin was loud in her ears. It was a particularly nasty sound, made worse by the fact that someone had dropped a weight onto their foot. Ouch. She bit her lip. Was he okay? The teenaged girl raced over to the weightlifter's side, unthinkingly grabbing the metal and lifting it from his foot to place it on the floor. Should she call the nurse? Grandpa Carlisle said scent was a powerful medical tool. It smelled like there was blood, but none spilled. A bruise? Big brown eyes looked up, white teeth still scraping against red lips. Was he okay?
