A beacon in the dark illuminating the path ahead.
Forging a path through the frozen outskirts of Windhelm.
A dragon following the will of Alduin, the firstborn of Akatosh, who came from the depths of time forgotten to reclaim his destiny as the destroyer of all.
The dawn brings hope to the world, but to Aelianna, it marks the loss of all she once was.
Each sunrise is a golden monument to the humanity she lost; a life forever beyond her reach. Vampirism filled her veins with immense power and strength, yet every gift carried a curse. And as the sun climbs higher, one thought lingers in her mind:
What is power worth when the price is your humanity?
Once I figure out how to make gif posts your feed will never load smoothly again. PROMISE.
Lighting up old bones.
Frozen earth lying beneath a sky set aglow.
Snow fallen.
A sepia-toned sunset.
Decay and despair inside the mind of a dead emperor.
Are you using some skyrim mod collection? I love the graphic in your game! And also it looks to me like you play with a good drade of immersion so do you have some must have mods for it?
Its been a while since I player skyrim, I need to go back! Thanks for the inspo. :3
(But I also need an elborate and cohesive storyline for my OC đź« )
First of all, thank you for this ask! :)
Now to answer your questions, I do not use a mod collection - what you see in my pics is about 2 years of amassing and curating a hoard of mods to my personal sensibilities. This past year I’ve focused more on immersion and adding more elements to the game to make it look prettier and cozier. Only recently have I felt happy about the lighting and textures.
As for mods I recommend, I do have a long WIP in my drafts of a list of mods that I believe my fellow Skyrim fanatics on here may find useful. I have over 1,300 active mods in my game (i have a 4 terabyte SSD so im still pretty good with space yet xD) and it’s been a chore to slim down which mods I think would be good to add to the post. It’s gonna be a while but it will happen.
And good luck with your OC! I have three of them I play between in my game - Rhyannon the Nord werewolf barbarian, Aelianna the Imperial vampire mage (she’s working on getting rid of the vampire part lol), and Annora the Breton who is kind of a mix of the two. I enjoy adding backstories to my characters because it makes gameplay a lot more fun :)
Descending into the mind of madness and meeting the Daedric god Sheogorath.
Investigating a dusty and abandoned corridor.
A snowy reverie.
Aelianna heard whispers from the darkest corners of Skyrim about a cult of necromancers attempting to resurrect Potema, the Wolf Queen—a ruler remembered for her cruelty long after death.
As Archmage, she considered it her responsibility to stop the ritual before it could be completed. And so, she set to work.
Closing her eyes, she focused her mind and drew weapons from the Aetherius itself, preparing for battle against both the living and the dead.
She managed to stop the ritual in time, but feared the spirit of the dead queen had already been set free—and that Potema’s return would bring trouble to Skyrim once again.
Just a sneaky peek at my last round of gameplay. I haven't done this quest since the very first time I played Skyrim, so it's been yearssss.
I have more artsy fartsy photos on standby, but I'm too tired to edit them and make 'em look pretty. But look at the lighting, textures, and rehaul of ol' Sheo here! It's pics like the one above that really make me satisfied and content about modding this game <3
