I just feel that western look down to asian people, many times i tried to be nice in a polite way. Just to get my self friendly with them, but their respond were cold and kind of look down on me, maybe western more develope compare to asia, so they act as arrogant. Hope someone will reply an honest answer to this. Thank you

100% can say western people have looked down on Asian people. Historically that has what happened because of colonialism and trade routes. Then there were so many wars that propagated the sense of Asian otherness and inferiority (WW2, Korea, Vietnam). Now the media in the US, often can’t portray a well rounded Asian lead and it’s often been lamented on this blog how Asian males rarely get the lead if they’re not some martial arts master. 

Not all people are like that. To be honest it really depends where you are. In Seattle, we have the Seattle freeze and it doesn’t matter where you are from they just aren’t interested and even if they act friendly or polite they won’t text you back.

We dated 2 years and got married on 1 month ago.

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell is great AM/WF YA lit! It deals with some pretty heavy topics but is incredibly beautifully written.

I bought Eleanor and Park from being curious and I think it brought tears to my eyes the entire time. Being in an amwf relationship in highschool I was able to semi-relate

I haven’t actually read it but I’m inferring that’s a good thing to have tears and I’m really happy that you really identified with it <3
