Well, got into a car accident today. 100% my fault. Was on my way to a Dr. Appointment, and as I approached the hospital, I dropped the parking lot map my Dr's office sent me. I looked down for one second to find/grab it. One second. And slammed into the back of a Chevy Silverado at a red light. Thankfully no one was hurt. His bumper was a little damaged, but the front of my car was slammed in. So happy for my State Farm insurance. They took care of everything for me as quickly and efficiently as they could. Already in my rental car while an auto shop assesses the damage. I know I should be upset today. I know I should be mad, but I'm honestly not. I've surprisingly been light hearted and have had a smile on my face the whole time. Everything could have been worse. People could have been hurt, but they weren't. At the end of the day, a car is just a car. So tonight as I wait to go to a concert with my sister, I've opened up my last bottle of "Rick's Wine", and I'm raising a glass to life and all I'm thankful for. I'm blessed for all the things I have, but at the end of the day they are just things. You can't take them with you when you go (one of my fav Sister Hazel songs). Take a second to enjoy life today friends. Pause for just a minute and soak it all in. Be grateful for every moment of it. (at Nashville, Tennessee)
