The dreams that played through Ryohei’s mind after he’d passed out on the Rain guardian’s chest left him whimpering oh-so slightly in his sleep. He dreamt of the horrors of being unable to reach the raven during his time of need. No matter how hard or fast the boxer ran, he couldn’t ever catch up with the younger male. In his dream, Yamamoto looked so scared as he reached for help, but some unseen source kept pulling him away from the white-haired teen. He’d scream and shout, trying to assure the other teen that he’d save him but it seemed hopeless. Just when the masked dream assailant was about to stab the fighter, a hand tugged him from his terror.
The Sasagawa boy awoke, feeling his shirt being tugged on. He was still a bit groggier than usual from falling asleep crying and he assumed the tug was from a nurse telling him he’d passed out and that visiting hours were over. So he took a moment to open his eyes, until he heard his name spoken from lips that he’d yearned so long to hear from.
The Sun’s heart dropped, his eyes shot open, and he quickly opened his eyes. Grey eyes blinked slowly a few times, he wasn’t sure if this was reality, but a smile quickly spread across his face.
“Yamamoto! You’re really awake!”
He quickly and carefully puts his arms around the fellow athlete in a tight embrace. The elder Japanese teen hides his face in Takeshi’s neck, holding him close. He couldn’t believe that this happened; that his friend was finally awake. The boxer was worried now that his fellow athlete would comment on the fact that he was nearly crying now out of happiness and relief. Pulling back, he looks the raven in the eyes, his hands resting on the other teen’s shoulders.
“Your father and everyone will be relieved to the extreme!”
The fighter was excited to bring Yamamoto’s other loved ones the good news and it showed in his voice. His heart was racing with happiness as he hit the nurse button on Takeshi’s bed.
“Don’t try to move too much, you’ve just recently been in surgery and your body hasn’t had enough time to heal yet. I’ve done my best to help with Garyuu, but I can only do so much.”
The last little bit he said with a sadder and softer tone that wasn’t much like him. Ryohei realized it and quickly cleared his throat.
“What matter’s though, is you’re awake! I’ll get you caught up with all the extreme updates in school and with Sawada and the gang! That is when you’re ready.”
The Sun guardian chuckled, he realized he was rambling now, but he was just so happy. He took the raven’s hand in both of his hands and rested his forehead, closing his eyes and mumbled softly.
“I’m just so glad you’re finally awake.”
