in my arms
I walked into the door of the church thinking about the tough week that had been and the crazy schedule that I will face next week.
I was feeling "okay" - not sad, not also excited; just okay.
I had many reasons why I "can't" go to church today. I had many reasons why I "can't" be as faithful as I had been in the past.
But then there was Ian, two-week old baby boy, who slept in my arms. Calm and comfortable, he smiles as if life is all great. He slept feeling secure that the arms that carry him will not drop him.
That moment, time stood still for me. I forgot all of life's concerns and I was just there. I was there. Something inside of me wanted to protect him; to build a better world for him so when he grows up, there will still be reasons for him to smile.
I've been distracted with many things but at that moment, I wanted to hold on to my faith and in my God; to not allow myself to continue beating aimlessly at the wind.
Teary-eyed I remembered how precious life is and how amazing life could be when we're with God. Teary-eyed I sighed and prayed, "Lord, I will persevere in my faith for You and for the generations to come."
God is great. Thank you, Lord.
Deuteronomy 6:1-9
“I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” 6 So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently say,“The Lord is my Helper [in time of need], I will not be afraid.- Hebrews 13:5-6 (AMP)

Are you aware that the Father takes delight in you?
He thinks of you with joy.
He looks on you with love.
It is not your hold of Christ that saves you, but His hold of you.

Grace.
[psalm 121]
For anyone that’s feeling down at the moment. Things will get better they eventually do. Don’t you ever give up. Not now. Not never. Why? Because you are here for a reason. Don’t listen to the negative voices in your head putting You down all the time. Drown them out with your own inner voice tell your heart that “you can do this and this difficult time I’m in at the moment will pass. My future is so bright.“Start speaking some positive things to yourself till your heart believes it. Till them negative voices in your head stop whispering lies.

God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.- Hebrews 4:12 MSG
Amen
