💭 Is lubing switches worth it? Yes and no.

Here's a small list of pros & cons 👇:

✅ Lubed switches feel and sound much smoother and nicer to type on.

✅ Lubing can help make the switches quieter and removes the nasty ping that would bother the folks around you!

❌ It can take someone between 1-4 hours to lube an entire keyboard depending on the layout chosen.

❌ If you use too much lubricant, your switches can feel gummy or sticky. And in some cases, overlubing the switch can actually ruin it entirely!

🤔 Would you lube your switches?

I really enjoy the feeling and sound of lubing my switches, it's one of the pillars of being a keyboard enthusiast. It sucks that it takes so long though 😞

✨ How I used AI to generate images like this, and my new pfp!

🤔 The first step was to find a good dataset to train my AI on.

My photos gallery has plenty!

Once I had my dataset, I started training my AI.

🤖 I used astria.ai, uploaded 27 pictures of myself at different angles, in different locations - variation is key!

It’s a really great tool and it made the process a lot easier and for some reason provided me with way better results than Google Colab.

📁 Afterwards we can just put the model file - in the format of .CKPT in the models folder of stable diffusion and voila!
