The most asked question I get these days is, how am I dealing with stress of having a baby in such an uncertain time. Honestly, being Ukrainian and always having things uncertain helps. I remember being much more stressed when war in Ukraine started in 2014. That was unbelievably stressful and shocking. I also remember stories of my grandmother who grew up in working camp( kind of like concentration camps) in Siberia and survived with her entire family eatings nuts and berries from the forrest in summer and scraps in winter. I was always wondering when will it be my time to experience such hardship and I was always preparing for it. In general, all east europeans are tough because of our fucked up history. But also, in general, we hold incredible power to deal with anything life throws at us, giving us tools to deal with whatever it is in front of us. So to go back to being pregnant in times of pandemic: what a great time it is to slow down, connect to myself, my family and my home!! And to feel gratitude for having all those things 🙏🏽 What a privilege it is to help the world by staying at home 🏡 I am now researching home birth and adapting to this situation by avoiding hospitals. I am embracing everyday, as coronavirus is still not the only thing that can kill us. I have never been happier, to slow down, and to be still. To all the moms to be in 2020, never fear! Our children will be born in the New Age and the best we can do is to tune in to this energy so we can have tools to connect with them 🌱✨💚💫🌊🧘♀️❤️🧠 (at Cape Town, Western Province, South Africa) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-caVm7jg_2/?igshid=1tyhcw0igrts0
