Yesterday, I had the pleasure of filming and directing the interview of former NASA astronaut José Hernández! His story is truly inspiring and he is a wonderful example of dedication and perseverance. Thank you, José, for this opportunity and your continuing outreach to the UCSB community. I also would like to thank a few individuals who worked super hard behind the scenes. Marge Pamintuan Perko, thank you for being a trooper and keeping it all together. Kudos to Matt Perko for coming in to help transform my office into a quick studio. Thank you, Michele Kissinger Johnson, for keeping me sane and bearing with the severe transformation of our office. And a very, very, special thank you to Veronica Torres. Veronica is Marge's undergraduate intern and is majoring in Communication. She conducted the interview like a true professional. Veronica, you will go a very long way. And lastly, to the UCSB undergraduate and graduate students. Thank you, Graduate Scholars Program, SACNAS, the ECE department, the graduate student affinity groups, and to all others who attended José's talk. You are why I love to do what I do at UCSB Graduate Division. (at UCSB Graduate Division) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8CqWTyBBDS/?igshid=1by0vh1249zuq
