Matt, we can all see, embraces his facial hair and loves the way he looks with it on, no matter the length or degree. He shows it all the time, never openly expresses an issue with it.

He’s also faced the most when it comes to his own body image, and has openly expressed these issues as well. He faces the most public scrutiny and judgment compared to his other brothers. So I know that him seeing opinions like yours on socia media makes him feel horrible and ugly.

Your statement is selfish, and if you truly respected Matt and he provides you comfort, you wouldn’t be making his choice of style a big deal.

I commented on a choice he made, not anything about the way he actually looks. I'm not mad at him. I posted to a community I trust about the way I feel, knowing he wouldn't see it. There are some fans who hold this belief that they can have an opinion about the celeb/influencers looks or inherent personalities. That is not the way the world works, and that is not the way people’s mentalities should be. Holding this belief as well as having the audacity to share it publicly shows your lack of care for the person as a human being, and more of your care for that person as an ideal or concept, someone/thing can has to be molded to appeal to you. That way of thinking is not healthy, and can translate to your partnerships and friendship. You’ll value the idea of someone rather than the person themselves, and then when the person doesn’t fit the idea you structured of them from the beginning, you will start to mistreat them, degrade them, and/or belittle them altogether.

Of course no one is making me post what I post about your page or about you. That’s the whole concept of social media. However, the opinions that you express about the person you say you love, respect, and care about are not opinions that have that person’s best interests in mind. We all love and respect Matt, which is why calling people out for not showing that same respect or love for him is something that we all will do. That’s why others have come onto your page criticizing your words and rhetoric.
