Background:

The music scene in Jackson Roth's hometown was small but lively. In the early days of Iron Revival they shared the same few dingy pub venues with the same few groups of young people with big dreams, weighed down by second- or third-hand instruments. One such group was a gloriously shitty hardcore punk band by the name of Tooth Decay, their lead guitarist a withdrawn, angry kid who, at the time, didn't have that much of an opinion on Iron Revival one way or the other, but was a staple at their shows if only for the atmosphere and cheap booze.

But while Iron Revival shot right out of their home town and into successful music careers, Tooth Decay... well, decayed. Their bassist moved towns, and the more the remaining members tried to paper over the hole left behind, the more they descended into petty fighting instead. After one fateful band practice ended in the three of them physically brawling, they all agreed to go their separate ways. The backup guitarist found a different band, the drummer called it all quits and got a full-time job instead, and the lead guitarist was left aimless.

But time went by, and the sad teenage boy who used to play lead guitar for Tooth Decay grew up, found community, and eventually became a much happier adult woman. Jenny moved around a lot, from city to city, punk scene to punk scene, civil disobedience to civil disobedience. She started and ended a few other bands, but became content to watch the next generation of punks take over - though she kept writing songs in her own time. Iron Revival's success where Tooth Decay had spectacularly failed bothered Jenny for all of five minutes, but getting to brag that they once shared what could loosely be referred to as a “green room” back in the day made it worth it. On hearing about Jackson's new show, she thought it would be funny more than anything. Certainly, she doesn't expect him to recognise her - a lot has changed in the last 20 years or so, after all.

Nowadays, Jenny lives a patched-together, eclectic life in Moonwood Mill. She grows most of her own food and does a little freelance photography just to get by. She spends more time outside than in and likes collecting things, her little trailer less of a home and more of a museum of random shit she's found or made. She knows at least a handful of punks in every city from here to Evergreen Harbour and a good few besides, so whether you need a lock picking, a roof fixing, or some help with your house plants, chances are she knows a guy. She's not one to be fucked with, but she's generally a chill person if you don't get on her bad side.

Fun Facts:

Has been arrested at least a few times, all for various acts of protest.

Good with children. Wants kids of her own but so far it's never really happened.

Besides guitar, she can sing very well. Tooth Decay had no lead singer, but the four of them all taking turns.

Horrendous with any other kind of technology, but could tell you a lot about bike repair or extremely specific camera models from the 60s.

Pretty good cook but can't follow a recipe to save her life.

Daily Rewards - The Cheaters Guide

Not mods. With the exception of the very last tip, you should be able to use all of these options to get your free goods without needing to log into you Sims 4 game daily even on console.

Daily rewards are here! I'm not thrilled. I love free items added to the game, but I'd prefer they drop in an SDX and not be tied to my remembering to log in at regular intervals. Anyway.

I don't want any of you to feel left out if are unable to log in. I want you to have access to as many of these free items as you can without using mods. Really. These items? They were all downloaded into our game with the latest patch anyway.

The Buy Items

These are the easiest to access. You have options too!

The first option works right now as of May 31st 2024. I don't know if it will be patched at some future date. This one everyone can do.

Go into build and buy mode. Filter by Special> Event Rewards and SELECT ALL colors. Make sure you also have your buy items sorted to see everything (not just selecting comfort, like I did the first time.)

Second option to acquire buy mode objects is to download a room from the gallery that has all of the objects in it. There are multiple by now. Pictured above are rooms from gallery users: HenfordHenCoop and onlyabidoang

The Reward Trait

There are two easy options to get the reward trait as well. You can get it now, today, May 31st, 2024.

The first method: have your sim achieve 5000reward points. Purchase a Re-Traiting Potion from the rewards store. The Practice Makes Perfect Trait is right there.

The second method, as noted by OnlyAbiDoang on X -- you can open the cheats console and type in the cheat:

traits.equip_trait trait_PracticeMakesPerfect

I Want Everything Right Now

You know what? If you are playing on a computer, you can have all CAS and BB objects unlocked right now. You sure can. You just have to edit your .ini file. Yes, they're keeping track of our log in rewards on our own machines. I'm telling you this to let you know that if you uninstall and then re-install your game, those rewards will no longer show up for you. Ah, but this tips shared on X means even that wont be a problem.

Anadius on X shared this tweet about editing your own .ini file so you can access everything. Right now. Including the hair, the necklace, whatever. Everything from this first round of login rewards.

Brody grew up around horses. They were riding before they could walk, and by their late teens they were travelling around winning rodeos. They loved the rodeo, almost as much as they loved the horse they participated with, and they were good at it too. They could ride with the best of them, of course, but their real skill was in working the crowds. Showing off a little, making them laugh. In a line of work where even the most careful of cowboys get hurt, maybe it's not much of a surprise how their career ended: with a broken knee and a missing eye from an accident so messy they spent months trying to get back on the horse without panicking before giving up entirely.

For a while they thought their life was over. Newly disabled without the comfort of their lifelong passion, they settled into a safe but unsatisfying routine, bartending at The Rusty Horseshoe. Their new lease of life came in the form of a drag show held one night. They started their shift waiting for it to be over and came home drafting their persona, coming back to their next drag night as Broscoe Bareback, cowboy-themed drag king and fledgling performer in Chestnut Ridge's also-fledgling drag scene. Their spark is coming back now, bit by bit, and on this newfound confidence kick, why not try out for that show?

These two had a fantastic time together! I think they spent the time learning a lot more about one another as people, which fostered a really fun and energetic atmosphere for the whole date!

And, at the very end of the date, Daniel finally got a successful Kiss Hands interaction with Ivor, so I’d say that’s some significant progress! 🥹 @anarchosimdicalist you truly created such a sweetheart!!

And finally, though last but not least, we can congratulate our second Surprise Winner, Ivor Korrapati, who came second to Josiah in the runners’ up fishing challenge!

It might have been an “easy” choice, but Daniel also 300% wanted to go to this date location! He organized a private tour of a small, local Komobe dairy farm for the two of them to enjoy - where they fully relished their time in the fresh air surrounded by new furry friends!

@anarchosimdicalist Ivor truly is the sweetest sim when it comes to cows! And yes, because of the way the game works, Daniel actually owns these three lovely rescued Komobe Beef Cows: they’re named San, Nana, and Hachi!

URSULA ALLEN’S BACHELOR CHALLENGE

I’m doing the bachelor challenge thing! I thought a BC with all elders would be kinda fun and cute so that’s what I’m doing. I've kinda written myself into a corner of doing a BC with someone who would absolutely hate being on The Bachelor or anything like it, so I'm doing away with the TV premise. While Sage is kind of a presenter here, his segments aren't necessarily diegetic. As such, don't think of your contestants as people applying to be on a show.

Though she has been writing since she was a child and published semi-regularly since the 80s, it was her middle-grade fantasy Tower series that got her properly famous in the late 90s.

Since then, she’s had a child, been divorced, publicly came out as bisexual, published upwards of 60 books for children and a good few for adults, built a legacy as the favourite author to a generation of kids, and amassed a modest fortune.

While she's happy to have the kind of security that her money provides, she doesn't like having a lot of stuff. Her house is pretty minimalist, her clothes are high-quality but she doesn't have many, and she only really splashes out on fancy food. A good chunk of her money goes to charity.

She has what she refers to as "artistic melancholy" and what her son quite easily identifies as "depression".

She comes off as kind of gruff and grumpy, but if you're willing to see past it she can be quite warm. She loves to complain and she doesn't suffer fools gladly but she's also very wise and prone to philosophising.

She's very passionate about what she does. She has no intention of retiring any time soon, though she could afford it. She wouldn't really know what to do with herself if she ever stopped writing.

Always been good with kids, though she only ever had one.

SAGE HAMMOND

AGE: 24 PRONOUNS: He/him SEXUALITY: Gay CAREER: ???? TRAITS: Childish, Lazy, Cheerful ASPIRATION: Joke Star

Very close with Ursula. She made up stories for him as a kid, supported him through his transition as a teenager, and now as an adult they're kind of a single unit. A little codependent but generally healthy.

Has an English degree, somewhat inspired by Ursula though he's not really interested in becoming a writer.

Has lived with Ursula since graduating. Feels like he should move out but he doesn't really know what to do with his life and can't find a job.

Flamboyant silly guy. Colourful aesthetic constantly threatens to intrude on Ursula's big minimalist house.

🐴Once Upon A Time In Chestnut Ridge: A Bachelor Challenge

Meet Dakota Blue Heron, Chestnut Ridge's most eligible bachelor!

Dakota is 29, stands 6'3 tall, living on Crow's Head ranch, primarily a horse ranch that is open for guests in the spring and summer months. The ranch is owned and operated by the Heron family, being passed down through generations for over a century. Kindly, Dakota's parents have allowed the ranch to be used this season, in hopes that the show's popularity will help bring in more guests and customers.

Dakota accepted the network's offer to be Bachelor in hopes of finding a life partner, having little time to meet new people in his regular life. Also because, in his words, "this seems fun!"

Here's a few things he wants potential contestants to know about him: he spends his days working in various different parts of the ranch (in the horse stalls and gardens especially), he grows most of his food and whatever he doesn't grow he sources from local and ethical producers, he loves being surrounded by people (especially those he holds dearly), occasionally hunts (deer and invasive species mostly). He speaks navajo, navajo sign language, english and spanish, and is a tribal member of the navajo nation. Dakota wants kids and is looking for a partner with similar desires to start a family.

i own most of the packs except for some of the kits, but i do have the ‘kits made bgc’ so i can replace stuff if needed

i will be changing skin details and giving them more outfits, if you submit a sim you are consenting to have them be changed to fit my sim style. honestly i highly encourage everyone to use sliders and custom presets, i think sims look a lot better with those and i dont love how vanilla presets look tbh
