“What do you need help with?” Genesiys asked in return, her brows raising a little as she studied the other before her

Iggy gave a single bark in agreement.

“He seemed very strange.” Genesiys uttered “The same energy that a man called Kars had. He was never pleased with what he had.”

“Yeah, I can see that….Wait, how do you know, Kars? Were you there when he and the other pillar men care back?”

“I was there at the dawn of man. I helped raise Kars when he was just a child”

Genesiys smiled fondly

Amy can’t help but gasp.

“You raises him?!” Amy gasped. “So that makes you a, a, a vampire?!”

“No, a Pillarman” She replied gently “Does that make you upset?” she asked, tilting her head

“No,” Amy stated. “It’s just that, you’re a lot nicer than Kars and the other Pillarmen were. I’m just surprised is all.”

“Kindness is grown from an upbringing, but Kars was nature over nurture” she replied briskly shrugging at the concept

“When I gave him that it he screeched and prayed and stuff like that! It was awful! His skull even split in two!” She said, almoste yelling.

“I saw him die and I couldn’t do anything about it!” She cried out, some tears falling down her face. It was the first time ever she spoke about it, because she bottled it all and now it was all pouring over the other.

Toto lowly hissed, spikes starting to come out of its neck and legs.

“I do not have any connections nor feelings towards you” Genesiys stood up; snatching her veil up from the sand. Although it had been cascaded with water it was neither wet nor sand filled. “Stop blubbering…”

She gave her the stinkeye and sighed.

“Is that veil part of your ghost or what?” She asked with a tired tone, pointing at it

“The veil is a gift; I hardly ever remove it” she replied, The veil hiding her horns again. Genesiys waded into the water almost waist deep; her hair and veil gently touching the surface of the water and sitting upon it gently

“You are welcome” Genesiys kept the veil off for now; her eyes closing a little as she gave a harsh huff. “I cannot stop hurting. it is painful to think of Esidisi.” she uttered. Feeling her voice grow quieter and quieter

She stayed quiet, looking at the horizon. She felt guilty for bringing up to her her kid’s death.

“And that is another child I have outlived.” she said quietly; Gently laying in the sand, feeling the waves get closer to her.

She shifted a bit closer to her and wrapped an arm around her.

“I’m sorry…” she said guilty. In saying that she was comforting the woman and confessing at the same time, because even if what she did was right, she felt horribly bad for killing Esidisi…

Now that she wondered, was she going to need to kill Wham or Kars too? Heck. Best if not.

She returned to a seated position before looking at the other; A diminished fury in her eyes, tired…Though she would not cry for the loss of Esidisi. “You feel guilt; But did you feel guilt at the time?”

Mitsuko shivered a little bit, making a confused and scared expression. “Hey! D-Don’t mess with me! There’s no way you’re a monster, except for the snake there, but monsters are ugly! You’re normal! And you also don’t look ancient!” Making a pouty face, she crossed her arms.

“Trying to scare me, are we? Ha-ha-ha! You’re not on my level!” She was clearly trying too hard to keep her posture, but her knees were shaking.

“Oh dear, I can smell your fear my child; but you know monsters come in all shapes and sizes, have you ever seen a woman filled with snakes?; A woman who can change her face to become monstrous?” Genesiys gave a soft chuckle as her deep golden irises swallowed her pupils until they were mere slits of what they were. “I was there at the beginning, I saw man hunt his first animal; I saw them create flame”

The little one gulped, wondering how the hell did she get on that situation. Now she would have her heart eaten by a hot old lady and no one would know! Wait, was it even a lady? What if it actually was a giant slime monster or something…?

But! She wouldn’t accept defeat, even if it was obvious that all she wanted to do was run away screaming. “Err… T-Then it’s correct to call you an old lady! I’ll call you that! H-Hahaha…” Tears of fear were forming on her eyes.

“Ohohoho!, You still think yourself clever” her grin grew wider across her face, the ends of her mouth ending where her jaw connected to her skull “the little girl thinks she’s insulting me by calling me old~” she whispered to the snakes which turned to look at Mitsuko. Her mouth parted and the space from the corners of her lips to her jaw joint stretched like a snake’s mouth; showing fangs and a forked tongue.

Mitsuko stood still, showing no reaction for some seconds. Suddenly, she screamed and jumped back, tripping and falling because of her plataforms. “W-Wah… What is this?! What ARE you?!”

She said under her breath, shaking with horror. Her eyes examined the woman’s unnatural grin, then the snakes, then her eyes. Without knowing what to do, the younger girl covered her head, looking away and hoping her death would not be too painful.

“…You talk so highly but you are just a coward…” She reformed her face back to normal as she opened her mouth, the snake slithering inside and down her throat, disappearing back into the mass that made her body. “Don’t pick fights above your weight little girl”

“Buh…” After realising she was not going to me cruelly slaughered, Mitsuko uncovered her head, her whole body still shaking with fear on the ground. Her eyes were tearful, but she couldn’t help but stare at the woman. The little one felt a revenge desire, that’s for sure. No one was allowed to speak of her like that and go unpunished!

“I-It’s not like it’s not normal to be slightly scared of a monster…” She said with a crying voice, fighting to stand up.

“Scream at me if you wish; but your words remain just that. You can do nothing to me.” Genesiys responded rather abruptly “Your mouth got you into this mess. perhaps you should close it before I close it permanently”

She turned on heel; her chin high with almost pride.

Mitsuko bit her lower lip, feeling angry about that humiliating feeling. But that woman was right, there was nothing she could do. That lady was tall, strong, and had freaking snakes under her skin. On the other hand, the blue-haired one had a small, fragile body full of wounds. 

She could hear the familiar voice on her head give her instructions, and so she did. Breathing in and out, the petite girl stood up, wiping her tears. Yes, she wanted to make provocative comments, but that would risk her life. “… I should go now. But, first…”

Taking a small paper out of her pocket, she reluctantly showed an adress. “Do you know how I get there…? It’s not like I can ask someone else, now…”

“I’m not too familiar with the area but I will walk you to it” Genesiys replied coolly taking the note with the address she scanned it before handing it back. “What is a little girl doing out so late anyway?” she asked looking down at Mitsuko’s still semi trembling form

“If you so prefer” she replied. “Coffee gum sounds very strange to me, how do they get the liquid into the gum? or is it flavouring?” she asked curiously as she began to walk with the other towards the closest store

“I’m not sure either,” Amy shrugged. “I believe it’s flavoring.” As soon as they walked into the store, they could hear barking. A little Boston Terrier ran out from a back room with gum in his mouth and jumped into Amy’s arms.

“I believe that is your dog?” she questioned, tilting her head as she pointed at the dog chewing the strong smelling gum. “Does he often run away?”

Amy nodded. “Yep, this is Iggy.” She answered.

“Yeah,” Amy said. “But he always comes back.”

“He must be intelligent then” Genesiys replied reaching a finger to stroke Iggy’s ear.

Iggy liked getting his ear scratched. Normally he would’ve been upset if a stranger had scratched him. However, he really liked this woman and wanted her to continue to do so.

“A very handsome dog as well may I add.” She uttered. “How did he become your friend?”

Iggy smirked a bit after being remarked as handsome. This was definitely a boost for his ego. 

“He was found in New York by my friends and they had him brought in on a helicopter to meet up with us.” Amy casually explained.

“Where were you?” She asked coolly with her hand continuing to pet at Iggy’s ears.
